i want to move house as this one only has one loo! i think 2 is required! and i want a utility room. DH thinks no reason to move but god he always seems to be in bathroom when im crippling with stomach ache and in need of the loo!

yeah move to a new house with family bathroom, en suite in master room, downstairs loo and a utility thats what we need! we cant get one understairs not enough room and cost fortune to move electrics apparently and DH wrote that idea off quicker than he moving one, bless him!.

what about kitchen extension with extra loo and utility room? Or loft extension with en suite? All much cheaper than moving. Or am I stating the obvious? Might be worth getting someone round anyhow just to have a look - there may be potential where you hadn't thought of IYSWIM.

dont get me wrong we have plenty of room to extend sideways or to loft but we was advised that come the time we sell it'll be of no benefit as the house if at its roof value for the area and that 4 bed semi are not as popular as the trad 3 bed. by extending we would just about break even what we spent on doing it all and also we have done so much this house already it fills me with dread having to do something major with an 18 month old. sorry for babbling got to have a dream haven't you!

Same as yogimum. We moved from a 3 bed terrace with one bathroom with toilet (in same room) to a 4 bed townhouse on 4 floors with 3 full bathrooms and a cloakroom. We also gained a play room a utility room and a study for not a lot more cost wise. Tonnes more cleaning but more than happy to do it. Tis a year this weekend since we moved and I still wake up with a smile on my face in the morning

this is it you see bigger house more storage etc, ironing room new play room for ds. not necessary for him to play in on own but to chuck everything in at end of night and then plonk down on sofa with glass of vino looking out french doors into the garden. trying to decide which bathroom to have a bath in! sounds great! one bathroom with bath toys in and one strictly no kids with all the clairins in! then when in laws stop they have own bathroom so they are completely tucked out of my way!
