AIBU to think that NO ONE irons fitted fucking sheets

Because there are possibly two hundred and eighty five million better things I could be doing with my time. And uh I have a life?!!?? In fact I'm pretty sure lots of people don't even iron the duvet cover (the bit that you actually bloody see! )DH and I got in to a semi serious fight over it last night. He was positively horrified when he saw me putting on a *scream UNironed fitted sheet on the bed. I had spent ages ironing the rest of the bedding (duvet and pillow covers) and two kids' bedding so this royally pissed me off. So, tell me I'm not being unreasonable All you normal folks with your heads screwed on correctly.

@Cocogreen

Not only do I not iron fitted sheets ( or any bedding) I cannot be bothered folding them neatly so they just get roughly folded into a sort of ball and put in the linen cupboard like that. You're husband would divorce me!

Same. Grin

I don't own an iron. Haven't ironed anything for at least 13 years (since I moved into this house).

Definitely not. I've never ironed bedding. I buy seersucker as it looks creased anyway.

Why would you iron bedding?
Seriously, why???!

What with the cost of electric going up, surely that’s an easy cut to make

@Brefugee

I love getting into a freshly made bed with beautifully ironed bedding. But i hate ironing so that almost never happens.

I only iron the things that really need ironing. Which is not much at all. And i only do it because i've started listening to a few podcasts while i do it. Previously DP did it whilst watching films that i didn't care to watch.

I do too. But it’s only nice the first night.
That’s a hell of a lot of effort for what ultimately boils down to about an hours enjoyment (the rest of it your asleep)

Presumably this has been the situation for a number of years now, and he has only just noticed. In which case if he’d like to change things he’s able to iron the fitted sheets himself. He’s hardly the princess and the pea equivalent of he’s not spotted this before now.

I fold things neatly and stack them, and that way they all iron each other Grin

I'm sure I do have an iron somewhere, but not sure where.

I used to. Then I came to my senses. I don't iron anything now, well, the odd thing that needs it.

I love freshly ironed sheets, but I'm not that bothered these days. I have no time now that I have kids.

Inside out, long corner to long corner and flip in half. Repeat. Fold remainder into thirds lengthways then horizontally.

I might have to find the video!

Haven't ironed anything in years.
Not sure where the iron is.
I actually shortened some trousers by hand because it was easier than finding the iron to do the wundaweb hemming stuff.
(and took them away with me to shove the hand sewn hems in a hotel trouser press Grin)

Why is he not ironing them?
Of course they should be ironed, but according to research only penis-havers are really good bedding ironers.
