Phrases that annoy you

“We are pregnant” when only one of the couple is physically pregnant
and
“It is what it is”

Agree with "I'm going to talk to that" when they mean 'talk about' or 'discuss that'

"No offence, but..."

Why do people use this phrase as a 'get out of jail free card' when it's clear that whatever is about to come out of their mouths is offensive... the preface doesn't change it! 🙄

A ‘deep clean’ irritates me - the term used to be reserved for the likes of operating theatres. A ‘thorough’ clean was the term for a really good blitz at home.
I know it’s popular with the clean-freaks on MN though.
