I am sick of Kerry, along with her her 'drug' addled stories, being paid a small fortune for her trite little column in OK!

Just caught sight of yet another story in todays paper of her smoking & drinking & being a crap mother. No doubt they'll be a 'what really happened that night' spread, where her & Mark are draped over each other, getting paid a small fortune to spend on the next party.

I say sack her & stop her being such a bad example in the public eye.

On that note, I'm off to write to Iceland...

lol at kittylouise, and also myself for glancing at thread title and getting all excited thinking she had been sacked!

Have no time for KK. I was upset to hear she is having a boy this time, given that with her 3rd and 4th pregnancies she has said things like "I'll send it back if it's a girl!" Really? Will you? She seems more bothered about what sex she is "getting" than her baby's wellbeing imo

Flibbertyjibbet · 07/01/2008 15:11

I have to admit to browsing an article about KK in a magazine whilst waiting in the queue for the till at Sainsburys (I put it back when it was my turn!).
She said that she had had instruction in how to eat heathily 'but I can't be bothered with all that while I'm pregnant'.

Words fail me.

kittylouise · 07/01/2008 15:13

I read somewhere that KK is obsessed iwth her media image and is always reading about herself on forums and the like to check how she is percieved by her adoring public.

Kerry, if you are there, GROW UP. YOU ARE A DISGRACE. And sod off out of the public eye for a while.

There.

VictorianSqualor · 07/01/2008 15:22

Did anyone watch her on Jonathan Ross and feel slightly sorry for her?

She had a shit childhood, apparently is bipolar was left by her husband for another woman, has had drug problems etc etc etc yet all we do is slag her off

I would imagine for her the media thing is a way to try and get validation, misguided? yes, but she is still human.

Give her a break, if you're not interested don't read it ffs.

ScottishMummy · 07/01/2008 15:32

Yes KK has had a disadvantaged life, and hard knocks too, but she certainly has manipulated the media and these circumstances to morph into a hedonistic, reckless, attention seeking young woman. Fwiw, not all individuals with similar difficulties resort to getting their kit off, having a tatto whilst 5mth pg, taking their own body weight in coke - o and telling anyone who will listen

she has manipulated her own dire life

KK has advantages now
money to afford proper counselling and help

ongoing mawkish media interest (self generated btw)

she is reckless
Illicit drugs
Tatto pg
Chaotic impusive actions

nope i dont feel sorry in the least for her, sad yes and hope she can reexamins her priorities and clean up

2mum · 07/01/2008 15:48

I read the NOTW story from her mother in law. I did have a giggle when i read every week Iceland send her a delivery but it usually gets binned as she doesnt eat it Not exactly a good advert for the store i would think. besides that i think shes a disgrace, if these stories are true then shes getting legless while pregnant opn vodka in her own home and smoking like a chimney. I feel sorry for her kids and her poor unborn baby whos stuck in there getting fed all this crap that that halfwit is putting in to her system. I dont believe the stories are lies, ofr goodness sakle there has been countless people who have sold stories on her, they cant all be lies. The sooner Ok and Iceland sack her the better. And as for her ex Brian he needs to get back opver to the uk and do a bit more for his children as their mother cant cope.

2mum · 07/01/2008 15:49

Sorry for the spelling mistakes i just cant type fast!

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/01/2008 17:24

I had a worse than shit childhood without any parents, I don't take drugs, sell my life story to papers and generally set a bad example to my kids. It is no excuse.

Maybe loads of people should write to Iceland and say they won't be shopping there for the whole time KK is fronting their adverts. She isn't even that good in them.

VictorianSqualor · 07/01/2008 17:59

NAB, I had what I would class as a terrible childhood too, but I would say I turned out the way I have in spite of it all, not everyone can do that.

LittleBella · 07/01/2008 18:02

Yes yabu.

No-one is forcing you to buy and read that crap.

HTH.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/01/2008 18:17

True, VS, but she has had advantages a lot of people haven't.

ScottishMummy · 07/01/2008 18:33

KK continues to have many advantages namely excessivw finacila renumeration for sweet FA - certainly more than NHS workers!thah initself is grossly unfair imo anyway KK has financial security (But i base this on the premise that she does not snort it away)

and as Nab correctly asserts she and many people overcame difficult circumstances to become good mums who strive hard to be a good role model and who donut resort to illicit drugs. Nowe that is to be applauded

and no i don't buy ok et al but how can i not know the headlines, luridly displayed at the checkout in supermarket- highly visible
too..and then there is her docu-drama again not watched but see adverts for it.

frankly you would have to live like a recluse not to know about kerry and her many woes

sparklygothkat · 07/01/2008 18:35

'mother of the year'..... my arse!!!

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/01/2008 18:37

Thank you ScottishMummy. I don't want pity but it would be nice to sometimes get recognition for what people like me are trying to do under very difficult circumstances. (Goodness, read that back and it sounds awful. I'm sure you know what I mean.)

KK, and Britney, need people who genuinely care about them to take them away from it all for quite a while.

KK says she likes people doing stories on her as she gets paid money to tell her side each time.

ScottishMummy · 07/01/2008 18:43

Nab your post hit nail on head, you just got bloody well got on with it no belly aching to the papers, no poor bloody me

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/01/2008 18:46

Want to give you a hug for being so nice. Thank you.

Quadrophenia · 07/01/2008 18:48

Unfortunately for the likes of KK she has isoltaed herself from her family, their rows are constant media fodder, with mothers, friends, in laws etc selling their side to the press. All these people who apparently care for her, feel that selling their story and exposing her self abusive lifestyle is the only way to make her see sense. We all know that they do it for the money really, but sad really that people dislike her so much they are willing to keep doing this instead of supporting her in sorting herself out. Sadly I don't think she can be helped, I think she is a very destructive and seemingly not nice person who clearly has huge problems (she must be really hated by these so called friends and family which suggests she can't be a deep down misunderstood sweet person).

What sickens me more than anything about all i have read about her though is her current fight to get custody of her current husbands first child under some misguided belief that as she has money she can offer this little girl a better lifestyle. that i find very, very scarey indeed.

LittleBella · 07/01/2008 18:49

LOL I've never considered myself a recluse, but I have managed quite satisfactorily to manage not to know that much about La Katona. The knowledge I have gleaned about her, has mostly been gleaned from MN.

Honestly, you can avoid knowing about all these naff celebs by not buying shit magazines or red tops and not watching crap TV. Ignorance really is bliss in this case.

(You still learn about them from Mumsnet though . Now I know she's had drug ishoos. I know Britney has done something mad recently and Amy Winehouse keeps getting drunk because they get on the news. They must be considered more important than Kerry Katona I guess.)

kerala · 07/01/2008 20:02

My new years resolution was not to read about/think about pointless celebrities or buy any of those crappy magazines. But have read this thread so damn broken it already

notalone · 08/01/2008 12:48

OMG - do you think the bods in charge of Iceland read mumsnet and take heed??!! KK has apprently been dropped from the Iceland campaign for not being a model mother according to Yahoo news

kittylouise · 08/01/2008 12:49

See - we are INFUENTIAL

Hope it's true

Well, how much longer could they ignore her downmarket, media-image junkie position in society ?

If people really are influenced by such bankrolled representatives it must have put loads of parents off shopping there to have KK as the image of a typical Iceland shopper.

peacelily · 08/01/2008 13:03

Prob shouldn't write this because might be breaching some sort of confidentiality law but my dhs best friend is an editor at the studio where the latest Iceland ad was shot (the one with jason Donovan). He said KK was a complete nightmare primadonna, completely unhelpful throughout.

Was torn between feeling sorry for her and thinking what an i*t before!!

He said JD was sound tho but what on earth was he doing that ad with her for!!! Must be desperate for cash!!

notalone · 08/01/2008 13:14

Ooooh - I like JD Peacelily. Anymore gossip???
