On the look out for great new habits. What are yours? Here are a few of mine to start us off:

  • floss and use interdental in the shower
  • take one old item out of the fridge each time I open it
  • get dressed as soon as I get out of bed to avoid lounging in dressing gown

what are your great habits that help your life run smoothly? I'm in need of inspiration! thanks :)

Thanks to this post, I've started drinking a couple of mugs of warm water in morning, instead of coffee. I think this is my new good habit. Thanks folks!

Hopefully we can all agree it’s sexist and patronising to try to disparage women talking about everyday life hacks to help them manage things sanely, or ideas help them be healthier or happier.

Well said.

Most DH and his friends talk about football... I'd rather get a few life tips than the relative merits of their favourite football teams even if most of them focus around leftovers, water consumption and cleaning the shower.

Nothing radical here but prep as much as you can the night before. Put the dishwasher on as early as yiu can so you can unload it before you go to bed. You want the minimum of jobs to do on a busy school morning.

I prep the packed lunches and lay the table for breakfast. The dds lay out their uniforms and pack their school bags.

Get your weekend jobs out of the way if you can. I do all the uniforms Thursday nights for example and am prepped for Mondays by Friday evening. I can't be doing with Sunday night rush.

Put any kit in the car the night before - pe bag or ballet bag etc.

Also I've been a single parent for a decade so no stepford wife here 😂
