Have you ever fallen for someone’s mind

I’ve met this woman and I’ve completely fallen for her, but not because of the way she looks but for her mind and energy. She’s so smart and kind. She’s cute too but that’s not the main attraction here!

Have you ever fallen for someone because of their energy/mind? This is all new for me.

Surely falling for someone's personality is normal? How do people normally fall in love?

What else is there to fall in love with apart from someone’s brain and personality? Attraction to looks is just attraction. It’s not what makes you love someone. You love the person they are. Have you genuinely only had relationships with people because you fancy them up to now, regardless of what kind of person they are? How shallow.

Yep. Looking back, I was properly in love with DH (worked with him for many years) before I even started to have inklings that I fancied him physically.

Yes, I've had my own Cyrano de Bergerac. Ah, the melancholy memories of wasted youth 🥲.

It's a killer combination when you like their looks AND personality/intellect - IMHO it's quite hard to get all of these things in one person and very hard to resist when it does happen.

If I just like someone's mind/personality I usually want them as a friend only so it's interesting to read that some people start to fancy people too based on that. That hasn't happened to me, I have to have attraction in physical sense first as well.

OP, tell us more about the woman?
