Another energy thread I'm afraid!

Anyone who is with Octopus, have you had an email confirming what your new prices/standing charges etc will be yet?

Another one who ended up with Octopus from Avro.

I've now managed to get the unit costs for their Fixed deal which are (unsurprisingly) much higher than the variable rates.

I'd like to try and compare them with fixed rates offered by other companies but not having much luck.

Is it not possible to switch providers atm, do we have to wait until after 2nd April to do that?

@BlueBloodedBlue I've tried to check with all the other energy providers but keep getting same message- due to rising costs we can't offer you anything right now, it's best to stay with your current provider.....or words to that effect x

Just had ours, it's doubled. Then they are saying it will decrease again in a year....they are asking us to pay extra now to redress a bit of imbalance on our account. I can understand this part because we had an extension just under a year ago and expected our bills to go up somewhat, irrespective of the current energy situation.

Bet it doesn't decrease though!
