I’ve just been approved for saxenda. I’ve gone private as I’m in Scotland and not in nhs here.
I am 13st 3 and want to get to 11 stone.
My problem is I eat when I’m not even hungry due to emotional eating (my ex Dv and intend to go sit alone and eat chocolate if I get stressed about something) Will saxenda help with these mad chocolate cravings.
Im so miserable and hate myself just now.

I get mine from simple online pharmacy. I've been doing it for around a month now and have lost half a stone. I have to do it at night due to the side effects (tiredness and weakness) when I was doing it on a morning. I can't afford to do the full dose. I've noticed it makes you less hungry and helps with the cravings. You still have to use willpower though. I'm low carbing because I'm pre diabetic and that helps with cravings as well. I take glucommanan capsules to stop the empty stomach sensation. I'm on very low calories or I won't lose.

I can't say it's a miracle drug for me, but it's a tool to assist the willpower. Perhaps a higher dose totally kills the appetite, I don't know. It's very expensive for the full dose each month.

You would literally have to rather die than be fat to take this.

If you listed at all the health risks associated with being overweight you may think it’s a risk worth taking.

I took Saxenda for a month to kick start me and I found it highly effective. I continued to lose weight after I stopped as I changed the habit that kept me from losing weight previously.

Being obese is a cancer risk in itself, not to mention all the other serious health risks that comes with it.

Just wondering how everyone is getting on? I've just been approved by Boots and waiting on a text to collect.

I suspect absolutely everything has been called a cancer risk at some point.

I am currently in week 3. I have lost 14 pounds. The side effects have been minimal, and are a little stronger on a day that I increase dosage. The notable side effects are a light nausea when it is time to eat, or after a meal in which I have eaten more than I should. I am incredibly pleased with the results of this medication - https://healthеxpress.co.uk/saxenda

Not to derail the thread but obesity has taken over smoking as the number 1 preventable cause of cancer. Even without cancer risk, in fact even without any additional health problems, the mere fact of being obese induces chronic inflammation in the body which in itself is very bad for you, not to mention the physical limitations and emotional/social stigma of being obese.

I was prescribed Ozempic, I am overweight and diabetic. I chose the once a week injection, well after the first week , never again. Total nausea, mouth filling with water, generally no energy, feeling really rough. It lasted over a week, until that shit was out of my system.
I can't comment on Saxenda, only it is totally similar, same side effects, my friend lost 2 stone in 3 months, as soon as she stopped taking it, she was starving all the time.
These drugs don't teach you anything about health eating, they just make you too sick to eat.
