DH wants to start a Morris dancing troupe. I must say that I don't think it is something that will go down particularly well in our part of Fulham (the expression lead balloon comes to mind).

When Facebook became a thing I looked him up and absolutely not shitting you here, he had become a morris dancer in his spare time in the intervening years. He’d also become a local Tory councillor. I’m not sure which would shrivel my timbers more, tbh.

I was called up to join in a few years ago and was SO embarrassed but I had the best fun ever! if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. But let him try!

"Carnival" or "Fluffy" Morris dancing is very much a traditional thing dating back 100 years and is not an americanised bastardisaton. Morris dancing is ACE

Fluffy Morris dancing is not a cheerleading thing, it combines precision, timing and teamwork. You have to be physically fit to even attempt to complete an adult stamina dance. Every movement one person makes will be mirrored by a partner even down to the timing when you reach a position, everything is choreographed down to the slightest detail.

Morris dancing is cool

I would encourage another hobby one that watching/or being involved in I might enjoy
