It was on channel 4 news that Putin has ordered his nuclear deterrent on high alert. But tomorrow there's supposed to be peace talks. What the hell is up with the man. I must admit to feeling even more worried now.

It would be normal for the US to wish to reassure its own population that something is being done to protect them, so by default we could run into problems with escalation.
