MC Skibadee has just died

I don't normally get sad about celebrity deaths but he is a legend. His live streams during lockdown brighted it up so much. Sound track to my youth.

Surely if you don't know who it is, rather than comment and wait for someone to reply, you would take 10 seconds to Google the name? Otherwise it comes across as rude and dismissive. They don't actually want to know "who" they just want to tell everyone they don't know who they are.

For all those going "who?", do you do that when friends or relatives tell you someone they know or means a lot to them has died? Have you ever been bereaved? If you mentioned it to someone would you be happy to be on the receiving end of a blunt "who?". It's a really horrible habit and reflects badly on you. If you genuinely want to find out who they were, and you're asking someone who is upset by their passing, you need to use more than one word, it comes over as very dismissive to just ask "who?".

@Sunsetzs I am aware of that and I agree with you. But it's really only a matter of time before someone does google and comes back with something denigrating about him / his genre of music. This is MN.
