To want to scream a ASDA Home delivery

Yet gain they have left off stuff from my order, phones them and they cant redeliver it so are taking it of my bill, but that now means I have to go out to get the missing bits (ALL the dairy stuff).

They are always doing it dont think I have had anything ever delivered from them with everything there.

I know I should use Tesco instead and do alternate the two, but some things I can only get at ASDA.

I also got stuff I didn't order!

(and if anybody else had a delivery on Blandford Camp today and have 6x6 fromage frais and 20 mullerlite Yogurts, I hope you have as many kids to feed as I do!)

They are all as bad as each other. Although when Tesco have done this to me - also with chilled or frozen interestingly (in a different part of the van I suppose) they have offered a re-delivery.

I once got about £20 of stuff I didlnt order and when I told the driver - because I identified it before he left, he said he could'nt tell where it had come from so to keep it and say nothing.

Which is great for me, but what about the poor person who had ordered it. It was 12 cans of catfood, sandwich bags, a huge roll of greaseproof paper, a whole carrier bag full of bananas, very expensive olive oil and a bottle of Lenor??

shoshe · 03/01/2008 13:35

Thing is the things I didnr order were mixed up in the bags with things I did order!

Hope you have a cat!

You cant feed it to the kids you know

I use saisnbury's and whenever I haven't had something that i think shouldn't be too hard to provide/substitute (i.e. loaf of bread, yoghurt etc)I phone up to complain and they always offer to redeliver.

My friend uses tesco for wine and she always has problems; although she wasn't complaining a wee while ago when she got a crate of wine she hadn't paid for

DarrellRivers · 03/01/2008 13:44

i use ocado, even though so much more expensive because i cannot cope with this type of crap.
i would explode.
am gggrging on your behalf

LowFat · 03/01/2008 13:49

Shoshe, yes I have 2 cats who only get dry food, so they were very happy with a change.

I did'nt know whether to complain to Tesco or not as I felt very guilty. The odd bunch of bananas of something okay, but this about a crate of stuff.

But as we have a rotation of regular drivers I did'nt want any backlash from him for reporting it when he told me to keep it.

i get asda and love it
once a got a delivery and as i was putting it away i discovered the chilled food hadnt been delivered and about a min later there was a knock on the door and the asda man was back with the rest of my order

millie76 · 03/01/2008 15:37

sainsburys are reasonably reliable here - i guess it depends on where you live! They've been late a few times but they always call and I've always had a voucher off my next shop (even if they've only been a minute late).

denbury · 03/01/2008 18:13

sainsburys and tesco have always been great for me. never tried asda but tend to go the shop now myself as have always heard horror storys

alicet · 04/01/2008 12:13

Asda have always been great. A few substitutes which sometimes seem a bit badly thought out but not too bad.

Only time I was pissed off was when I was about 2 weeks after my section and despite me telling the guy I was only going to carry one bag in at a time he kept giving me handfuls of 4 at once and looking at me like I was mad when I wouldn't take more!
