Where would you flee to if war came to us ?

Sorry really not wanting to sound alarmist. But just pondering on the thought of which country we could seek refuge in, should the worst happen?

Our European neighbours would be out, as they'll have their own issues.

So where could we go ? Interesting to think about with all that's going on and how the general public view refugees...

To those wanting to flee to Scotland… you do know that there are av number of areas in Scotland that would be targets before London? Aka. The naval bases.

I have family in China, however as I'm not ethnically Chinese it would be almost impossible to be naturalized as a citizen. In the 2010 census there were only about 1400 naturalized citizens in the whole of China! I think I'd have to stay and fight.

I'm from Morocco so back therr - dual national.
But really I doubt any non EU country would accept British folk as they are horrid to immigrants and asylum seekers. You reap what you sew. Hmm

Living in Ireland. Delivery drivers, visitors etc always get lost looking for us and we never get people like election canvassers to the door so I’d stay where I am. Russians would probably not find us and if they did, we’d take em out with our shotguns, Bruce Willis stylie.

I live near the London Underground so would be most likely to seek shelter in a tube station.

The first person to be conveniently out of the country and nowhere near would I am sure be Boris Johnson. Fridges handy or not.

Here. I worked damn hard to buy this flat and I'd rather it be over quickly than live under an invading force.

I would send my DC to either relatives or in the country side or to relatives in America depending on the severity. If it was bombing like in ww2 then the country, but if it's a full invasion, there on the first flight to the states

You could all head over this way, well if anyone can afford a flight with the rate the fuel is increasing.

And wouldn't that be a thing for those to who competely banned us up until very recently...

If they managed to get through all those Nato countries before reaching us, there wouldn't be anywhere to go . I'd stay and fight. Am not in the first flush of youth, but would certainly have a go.
Although I suspect if it all went pear-shaped I wouldn't be here anyway living 40 miles away from a nuclear arsenal. Confused

Doubt Scotland would be any use. We'd be a target. Faslane etc.

It think that all those saying they'd kiss their children goodbye and fight are really kidding themselves. I'm 99% certain that 99% of people (in fact probably nearer 100%) would just stay quietly at home and wait for orders from their new overlords.
And those of you planning to flee to Scotland (I can imagine the traffic jams). First of all, Glasgow is likely to be a top target, and secondly, if you make it to the far north of Scotland, what the hell will you do up there? How long do you plan to camp out on the moors with nothing to eat and no real form of shelter? A pretty high risk of getting a serious disease from the tics up there too. And you could be stranded without petrol with no way of making it back home. In winter, you'd very soon die of hypothermia. Madness.

Scandi country….but it’s the getting there that’s the issue.

Finland and Sweden have been directly threatened by Russia. I think they are in a worse position than us.
