Would you pay 100k?

Would you pay 100k to be your ideal weight for life? This sounds like a dodgy diet commercial but it’s not 😂

I was just thinking how much I’d pay if a pill existed (with no side effects) that would make you automatically your ideal weight, whatever that might be, and keep you at that weight for life?

Well since I don't have, nor am I ever likely to have, 100K that's a fairly easy "no".

Strokethefurrywall · 26/02/2022 21:43

Not a cats chance in hell

okelydokelyneighbourino · 26/02/2022 21:46

I've never had 100k in my life so I feel I could put it to much better use than being an ideal weight. So I will just have to stick to being poor and fat.

42isthemeaning · 26/02/2022 21:50

No because I still wouldn't be happy with my weight Sad

Fridafever · 26/02/2022 21:52

Absolutely, and I do have it if I remortgaged a bit.

Gigia · 26/02/2022 21:53

Absolutely

morechocolateneededtoday · 26/02/2022 21:57

Ofc all answers will be different based on experience. I'm lucky that size has never been an issue for me, I am naturally slim and have been able to eat anything for most of my life. Post children I need to be a bit more careful but nothing like many others.

However if you had said would I pay 100k to have perfect skin throughout life, never experienced acne, the resulting zero self confidence in my teens and 20s, endless scarring (which I still get in my mid 30s), horrific roaccutane treatment... the answer is without a doubt.

Darbs76 · 26/02/2022 22:00

No. I’m always dieting, it’s part of life. Weight goes up and down.

OldKingCole · 26/02/2022 22:00

Yes I def would!

ScruffGin · 26/02/2022 22:06

Absolutely, 100%.

XelaM · 26/02/2022 22:08

Yes!!!

alltheapples · 26/02/2022 22:08

Yes.

HisHX · 26/02/2022 22:15

Absolutely not, not even £1k. Being at my ideal weight just requires healthy eating and exercise, both of which have benefits far beyond just weight.

Jojibear · 26/02/2022 22:19

I don't have £100k knocking around and if I did, I wouldn't spend it on something I can get for free if I just get my lazy feckless arse into gear.

So in summary, no.

Mellowyellow222 · 26/02/2022 22:25

I would pay £50k

thebear1 · 26/02/2022 22:36

I am slightly overweight but it doesn't make me so unhappy I would spend 100K. Also, I think my ideal weight could change, what if I pick a weight I become unhappy with?

liveforsummer · 26/02/2022 22:37

No, my weight is fine / do I get 100k for believing that?

CatherinedeBourgh · 26/02/2022 22:44

No, weight has never been an issue for me.

On the other hand if you offered me to pay 100k to be able to eat whatever I wanted and never feel sick/get stomach cramps/have trouble digesting it, I'd probably go for it.

And if you offered me to pay 100k to actually enjoy exercise (like dh does) instead of doing it because I enjoy being healthy, I'd probably buy two.

bumblingbovine49 · 26/02/2022 22:46

I'd pay every penny I had in savings ( even if it was millions of pounds) for that

Kuachui · 26/02/2022 22:50

i definitely would if i had 100k

TakeMeToKernow · 26/02/2022 22:51

Interesting question, as I’m about to embark on hypnotherapy for weight loss!
I’d pay £10k which is about 50% of my annual take home. I must remind myself of this if I manage to lose weight.

CourtRand · 26/02/2022 23:18

I mean... can I set up a payment plan? Because I don't have £100k. If I did have it... yes tbh.

PickAChew · 26/02/2022 23:22

Given that I don't have 100k to pay, no.

And it's not just about having a good bmi, anyhow. If you're unfit, that catches up with you, eventually. And once you reach middle age, you feel shit on a shit diet, even if there aren't too many calories in it.

canary1 · 26/02/2022 23:25

Yes I’d absolutely pay!

Dyra · 26/02/2022 23:29

Absolutely! Remortgage the house, then DH and I will take one each please.
