our French girl (15 has been with us since September) had never heard of fish fingers - she was rather puzzled when I finally bought some in December - to show her what they were

mmm....me and dh lived on fish finger butties with a blob of ketchup when we were in our first flat!! i was a terrible cook at the time as no-one had ever taught me!! (tho i might add i'm a whizz in the kitchen now!!) and they were the easiest things to make!! plenty of generously buttered bread, a box of 16 birds eye fish fingers in the oven and a bottle of heinz tomato ketchup....mmmmmm making my mouth water!!- think i'll have one for supper (just hope the kiddies dont notice they wont get em for tea tomorrow!!)

Fish finger sandwiches. Bread must be buttered and ready to receive the fingers as soon as they come out of the oven. Just time to sprinkle on salt and vinegar before you munch them down. They have to be hot enough to hurt, or they don't taste right.

Anyone got a spare box of fish fingers?
