I had to struggle on with household chores, shopping, cooking etc with a terrible cold and hacking chesty cough and all whilst being 8 months pregnant, i couldn't even collapse into bed through sheer exhaustion and have a nap in the afternoon without DH coming in 5 mins later asking whats for supper

so how come as soon as he gets a headache and a snuffle with a bit of a sore throat he gets to slob in bed all day and can't clean out the over-flowing litter tray because "im ill"
he even said this morning that men get it worse than women do, grrrrr and now i have tiptoe round the house and not make any noise incase i wake his majesty up. i bet he will be well enough to play his bloody xbox though

feel a tiny bit less angry now ive had a bit of a rant.

Sympathies.
You shouldn't empty the litter tray. V important that he does that at least.

good point re litter tray, has he not heard of toxoplasmosis? Tell the lazy fucker he can get off his arse and do that, at least, unless he wants to be responsible for damaging his baby.

hercules1 · 02/01/2008 12:09

Why do it? I really couldnt be doing with that.

I should be sympathetic with DH cos I've got something that deserves to be FLU, even if it isn't. But I won't expect anyone else to clear up the tissues. I offered to dry up, but DH agreed it would be bad to put the germs on clean crocks. DH has been sympathetic - but only because he had an operation in October and that was the first time he really had experienced being an invalid. I guess it depends if this flu episode is a one off, or does he always react like this to any cold. Right now I'd stuggle to get out if my homme was on fire and I'm on the mend, just managing to MN.
