Yas Island Abu Dhabi

After some excellent advice late last year on winter sun holidays we booked Yas Island (Hilton) in Abu Dhabi. So thank you Mumsnet for the excellent advice . We go on Sunday! Super excited .

So I am posting for traffic. 😂🤷‍♀️

We are doing the usual stuff - water park/ Warner brothers / go karting / indoor sky dive and climbing.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for things to do or restaurants to go to?
Will have a 5 & 6 year old.

Thanks!!

@Abraxan - we are going to Dubai at Easter and my 15 year old DS is desperate to do Ferrari world but I wasn’t sure if it was worth it. Will also have my 17 year old DD with us and we all love coasters so from what you’ve said it sounds like it’s worth a visit.

Thanks to posters who recommended the F1 track too. DS is a huge F1 fan so would love to visit there.

My Dcs loved Ferrari World. They also liked Popeye in the Mall which was a bit revolting (mixture of deep friend prawns and chicken). There are actually a few fast cars dotted around the attached mall if you don't want to fork out on Ferrari World tickets

We enjoyed it. It's not huge but we really wanted to go on the fastest coaster. Dd was 16 at the time. It's not a massive park like at Disney etc but was a good day. Had decent food there too

I stayed at the hotel around which the F1 track goes. Brilliant, pool area great there too. Hope all of you going book a Friday brunch while you're there too Smile. I recommend Etihad Towers champagne brunch but mostly Emirates Palace Friday Brunch which was fab for my kids, big ice cream, popcorn and candy stations. You can book brunches at hotels that you're not staying at but do it early as they fill up fast. Some hotels also do brunches with swimming pool access too. Quite straightforward to get to Dubai too as Yas is on the way there. Love Abu Dhabi, can't wait to get back .

I'd travel all the way into Dubai for Friday Brunch at Nobu, Atlantis. It was divine. I still dream about it. I don't drink so it was a lot cheaper and they made me some lovely mocktails. I also managed something at the Cold Stone Creamery. Nobu have private access to the beach behind the restaurant so we took advantage of that as well. I still can't believe that I must have eaten so much in one go!

There are many great places to eat in the Emirates but many are a much of a muchness and Nobu is a standout option for me.
