To just not feel like going on a day out tomorrow?

We have friends with a little boy whose age is between my two. I am single, they are a couple, they are about 8-10 years older than me.
They are great but I have finally agreed to go out with them tomorrow, in separate cars, to a wildlife centre nearby.
I really don't want to go but they keep asking, it's been months, I hate to say no again.
I am really stressed at the mo, and skint, and it is going to cost about £16 plus petrol. That's not the main thing though. I find them a bit hard to get on with together, I always feel like they are unconsciously playing me off, like I talk to one and the other gets annoyed...it is very subtle, I may be imagining it...but uncomfortable nonetheless.
Plus I will have to manage my (very very active) four year old in a wildlife park, plus a 6 month old baby, by myself, while they have two adults versus one 2 year old.
I am just dreading it.

Please someone tell me it will be Ok! I am praying that it rains and I won't have to go.

It will be fine.
They will look after your 4 year old and your 6 month old will probably sleep most of the way round.
What else would you ben doing today?
Go on... enjoy yourself

Thanks Dooley

Well normally my parents would have had ds1 or we would have gone somewhere with them. It would possibly have been just as stressful...!

I guess once this is over I won't have to see them again for a while at least...

Gosh I am so antisocial, aren't I! I do find people really hard.

Well, we went...and it was brill.

They were great, we got on, the children all got on really well, I am so pleased! Was worrying about nothing. I sort of knew I was, that is how my state of mind affects me - I get irrationally nervous and insecure when I'm stressed.

Ds was fine - a little bit overtired, but nothing we couldn't all manage between us. They helped with him and I helped with their little one, we all took turns with the buggies.

I so need to calm down lately. Something like today shouldn't make me lose sleep like it did!!
