Sneaky McDonalds (lighthearted)

First time posting; long time lurker.

First day off after a very stressful week at work with a shitty cold. Was looking forward to a much needed lie in but trains are buggered and DP needed to get to work so got up at 6:30 to drive him halfway across South London (he doesn’t drive) for second weekend running. On way out the door DP grumbling at me about the few tiny chores I had asked him to do (and he had done a half-arsed job of) which pissed me off given I had been so courteous about doing him this favour.

Supposed to be doing healthy January together plus not spamming money away on the unnecessary.

Have just stopped in McDonald’s drive thru on my way home and enjoyed a greasy breakfast. Won’t be telling DP. AIBU?

They're not fries, they're bites!
But they're very very good when they're fresh so go at a busy time!

We’re on a diet and my OH annoyed me so I went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet for lunch.

My local McDs does 2 for 1 hash browns. So if you order an extra portion you have 3 glorious greasy treats.

I'm not proud of this and only did it once when I was very hungover, but I ordered a sausage and egg mcmuffin meal AND pancakes as a breakfast dessert 😂

It was awesome.

I voted YABU mainly because I’m jealous, and partially because DH did this when I was dieting (he claimed he’d do it too) on the second day in. I was furious, and salivating like a dog.

I love McDonald’s breakfasts, but my opportunity to get one nowadays is ruined by my children who don’t eat their breakfasts and whinge because they can’t get chicken nuggets

YABU to have a maccies breakfast because they are generally quite crap. YANBU if you go back at lunchtime for a large meal with a side of Camembert bites

I loved the bagels too, I had hoped it was a supply issue but apparently they're gone for good 😭

Mmmm, double sausage and egg muffin with extra hash brown. Breakfast of winners on your way home from night shift.

Drive thru, collect order, sit in car and eat then home to bed. Smashing.

I always have two hash browns instead of one because if you're going to go for a dirty filthy delicious oily McD breakfast, just go hard or go home. Absolutely pointless otherwise.

The camembert bites with the tangy tomato dip are SO nice!

Omg, I do this once a week after my gym hit class, even have a bin that I use on the way home to loose any evidence. Tastes better in secret.

YANBU I do this when I want a KFC. I make an excuse to go to the retail park and park up to eat it. Tastes better when no one knows about it. Drive home is cold though, just to refresh the air.

Oh I love these little trips to mcds on your own without telling anyone! I'm pretty sure my OH does it as well.

I have a sneaky McDonald's every Monday It's my one treat. I get it delivered at 12pm,sit on my sofa and eat it in peace as kids are in school. Nobody knows,well unless they see my bank statement.

I take myself sometimes twice a week during my lunch break, I order a hamburger and regular fries (a happy meal without the toy and drink), the rubbish often gets stashed behind the passenger seat so not detected by ds when I pick him up
YaDnbu (except for the McDonald’s breakfast choice, I would have gone for a bacon roll meal with ketchup and an extra hash brown).

I'm not a fan of the breakfasts, me and ds 3 had a sneaky McDonald's the other night though when ds2 was out and ds4 was in bed

I'm feeling much less guilty about my secret mcd's run (once a month I work at a different site and pass one on the way home). Can relate to binning the evidence too!
