Anyone else fed up with this?

Only on a par with Sarah Beanys house renovation programme. And those ones that own a farm and want to tell us all about how rural they are....

Prue Leith moving from a 9 bedroom Georgian property to a ££££ Cotswold 'new build' she 'designed herself during lockdown!' with her husband who also owns/owned a sizeable property. The associated 4-part TV show centres around a beautiful garden redesign.

I'm sure the generous programme fee covered the full cost (design, labour and materials) as well as a nice bit of publicity for Prue. And us lucky plebs viewers get to watch!

She already gets paid a fair whack for murmuring a few lines on the GBBO. I bet she couldn't believe her luck when Channel 4 agreed to pay her and film it! She's probably wishing she got them onboard for the house build.

I love gardening but couldn't bring myself to watch. It seems the height of privilege and bragging, during lockdown no less. I may be bitter as I lost my extremely fit, brilliant-minded father suddenly and unexpectedly so no I didn't have a very nice lockdown Prue.

I also avoid anything with Joanna Lumley following the garden bridge fiasco. She always seems to be jetting off somewhere exotic to impart her wisdom.

I don’t mind it. Although as a Cornish person I hate that it encourages second home ownership by people who want ‘the good life’.
