EXCLUSIVE

"Number 10 held two boozy parties the night before the Queen mourned Prince Philip alone.

Staff drank and at points danced until the early hours of the night of April 16.

Hours later, the Queen went to a socially-distanced funeral for Philip.

We have spoken to eyewitnesses. At a leaving do for a No10 photographer it’s alleged:

🥂Staff partied in the basement of No10, to music DJd by a special adviser.

🥂One broke Wilf Johnson’s swing in the No10 garden.

🥂Another was sent to the Co-op with a suitcase to buy booze.

Another event held to mark the departure of James Slack, Mr Johnson’s chief spinner, saw:

🍻 Staff gathered for a speech from Slack, with others dialling in via Zoom.

🍻Booze drunk and attendees spilling into the garden.

🍻Chatting and drinking into the early hours.

At the time Britain was in Step 2 of lockdown easing - which banned indoor gatherings and imposed the rule of six outside.

But the celebrations in No10 meant around 30 people were gathered for what a source declares were definitely parties.

Can No10 claim they were work events?

This was the scene in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle the next day.

Prince Philip’s funeral was restricted to 30 people, and the PM declined to attend, to make more space for family.

The Queen did not participate in the service. "

I haven't read the 12 pages due to the amount of posts by paid posters, but has anyone mentioned it was NATIONAL MOURNING.
Surely everyone at no. 10 DS knew to respect national mourning - the place had flags at half mast etc?
And did the police all go home early? Did they drive off to the countryside to catch people taking a walk in the fresh air instead? How did they miss a party in the basement of the most heavily policed buildings in the country? Hmm

NashvilleQueen · 14/01/2022 18:28

If he's guilty of breaking rules he should go. Just like Johnson.

Roussette · 14/01/2022 18:29

Clavinova

The pic of Johnson I have no problem with. Apparently though, at the time, there were groups of lots of people gathering round doing this quiz.

Were he two/three people together at school or at home? If at school, were they told to leave by the back door? Just in case they were seen...

lightisnotwhite · 14/01/2022 18:29

@Blossomtoes

I’ll ask again why can Starmer booze with his pals and its work, yet for others it's 'parties', hmm?

I’ll answer again (God, this is getting tedious) because there’s one photo of him drinking a beer standing next to two people. There are now reports of 14 parties/gatherings/leaving drinks across Whitehall. Is that really too difficult for you?

Yeah but one of the so called parties that I saw photos of was outside, everyone socially distanced and in suits. Boris was having a beer sat socially distanced from two people. No different to Starmer in practical terms.
NashvilleQueen · 14/01/2022 18:31

I've no allegiance to Starmer. I do have an allegiance to truth and integrity. And this 'it's all water under the bridge, let's move on' bullshit is because what? You're potentially losing your jester in chief? Intellectual dishonesty of the highest order.

Stop defending dishonesty.

Roussette · 14/01/2022 18:31

And the culture of thinking it was OK to invite 100 people to party, if they 'bring their own booze'?
Is that the same as a socially distanced beer with 3 people?

Errrrrmmmm.....

Lolamento · 14/01/2022 18:32

@HeddaGarbled

He was at Chequers so he can deny knowledge. I don’t think this is quite the final nail. We’re nearly there, though 🤞
So you admit you have an agenda.
SueSaid · 14/01/2022 18:32

'has anyone mentioned it was NATIONAL MOURNING.'

Were we in NATIONAL MOURNING, really?

NashvilleQueen · 14/01/2022 18:32

And if he's done nothing wrong why is he hiding for a week like a sulky toddler? Pretending to self isolate when the rules don't require it.

He's a disgrace to high office.

MarshaBradyo · 14/01/2022 18:33

I’m a bit hmm at this going on when even decent music stopped on radio, forced national mood etc

Blossomtoes · 14/01/2022 18:34

everyone socially distanced and in suits

Oh, did wearing a suit exempt you from the rules that said you could meet one other person outside?

Clavinova · 14/01/2022 18:35

Don't forget this party:

10 May 2020 - no booze, but indoors during the first lockdown - Labour MP, Labour Mayor and police officer in attendance.

Witchinthedales · 14/01/2022 18:36

A few bottles of wine?
My MIL died alone in hospital, we couldn't even have a proper funeral!

Sorry that's 'whataboutery'. If it doesn't feature a Tory it doesn't count seems to be the theme.

ClaudineClare · 14/01/2022 18:37

It must be mortifying to have willingly voted for a party led by the most corrupt, dishonest and incompetent politician of modern times. I would be a bit defensive too.

jgw1 · 14/01/2022 18:39

@JaniieJones

'How long do you have to be at a party for before you have gone to it?'

Well not 25mins for starters. It was work colleagues outdoors. Just like Starmer having a break with his beer. They were all mixing with colleagues, seems ok to me though we'll find out when the inquiry findings are released won't we.

That does not mean hospital visiting and care homes should have been a free from all, I'm staggered that folk really cannot see the difference.

@JaniieJones does spending 30minutes at a party mean one has been to a party? Does one have to stay an hour? Or is it all night?
WindyState · 14/01/2022 18:39

"'Fuck the country over'? But we have the fastest economic growth in the G7. That's not fucking anything over if you ask me."

Highest inflation as well. Slow hand clap.

Lolamento · 14/01/2022 18:39

@NashvilleQueen

Well but as you can see the usual suspects are already denying and justifying.
WindyState · 14/01/2022 18:40

"Oh stop with the desperate whataboutery accusations. It's is perfectly relevant to state if Starmer can drink booze with work pals they shouldn't be moaning about others who have done exactly the same."

As many people have pointed out to you, there is a huge different to having a break from working and specifically organising parties.

Not to mention KS wasn't literally the man making up the rules he was breaking.

Do we need to write this out using crayons?

SueSaid · 14/01/2022 18:41

I'm not defensive I'm stating facts. They have got a lot right but yes errors of judgements have clearly been made. I just don't believe it's the sacking offences the media are persuading you it is, as we know Labour were also boozing together.
ClaudineClare · 14/01/2022 18:41

Well Sue Gray could investigate Keir's beer. That would be fair.

Notonthestairs · 14/01/2022 18:43

Maybe Sue Gray could investigate Starmer (let's lighten her load) and then Alastair Campbell or whoever could investigate the 17 parties. They'd probably need a team however.

Clavinova · 14/01/2022 18:43

Sorry that's 'whataboutery'. If it doesn't feature a Tory it doesn't count seems to be the theme.

Indeed - I should point out that the party took place in County Durham (before we found out about the Dominic Cummings' trip) - Keir Starmer's boozy work meeting took place in Durham as well.

ClaudineClare · 14/01/2022 18:43

I just don't believe it's the sacking offences the media are persuading you it is

How very patronising of you!

@Clavinova are you now of the opinion that it was wrong for our elected representatives to have parties during lockdown?
It has appeared for most of the past few days that you did not.
