It's in a childcare setting. In the first situation, two staff members were openly saying which children they liked and didn't like, in front of them. For example, pointing at one little girl and saying 'I don't like her' and then pointing at a little boy saying 'he does my head in'.

The children are 2 to 3 years old but will surely still pick up on these comments.

In the second situation, we had a 1 year old baby whose first day it was. A staff member went up to him and said 'Euurgghh, he's so weird looking. Look at the size of his forehead and look how small his eyes are."
About a 1 year old child.

I just gasped in disgust, I don't understand how people can be so cruel to babies and toddlers, I understand their behaviour can be frustrating at times but those comments were unacceptable.

I can report this, would anything come of it? As I can't prove it and the other staff were friends so would probably back them up

Disgraceful I'd totally shame them publicly I think! Because these types of things get brushed under the carpet far too often.

It's staff like this that give us nursery practitioners a bad name. Please put the children first and report.

Absolutely, get the yellow forms out! How disgusting.

This breaks my heart op 😢 please report it, it should be simple to check on google who to report it to.
I want to thank you for caring, many people would ignore it, but you are a good person and I feel you’ll do the right thing. Your instinct is 100% bang on, I feel sick reading this so I can’t imagine how you feel actually witnessing it. People like you make a difference to so many people, especially little ones.
