Do you still keep your DVD's?

Every time I read decluttering thread (and I love a good decluttering thread) most of the people will advise you to get rid of your dvd collection.

Although I like nice declutered house, I have no intention of getting rid of my dvd's.

Mostly because it is 80 per cent old classic movied which I adore and there is no place where I can watch them online (at least in my country, it could be different in UK).

So, I'm kepping them in hope that my children will want to watch Hitchcock, Wilder, Wyler, Lang, Minelli and all the rest with me one day (I know, I know... no chance for that). And I prefer them over new movies. Give me Colbert, Davis and Stanwyck any day of the week.

So, if you keep your dvd's what do you have in your collection?
And if you got rid of it, why did you do it and what did you have before.

We have hundreds. Lots of comedy box sets, foreign films and classic film including a lot of hard-to-get older horror.

Yes. DH is into anime and buys between 10-12 DVDs fortnightly. More if there r sales on. We just bought a new shelf to accommodate the expanding collection.

Definitely keeping my favourites!

We still have a shelf of videos and a VHS player in the summerhouse... Some stuff you just can't get on DVD or streaming...

My favourites I've taken out of boxes and put in sleeves and stored in an IKEA box.
But tbh since I did that I don't think we've watched any.

Nope, we got rid of them as never used.

We have kept a few in cases that are favourites or very pretty. The majority are in a dvd binder that takes up minimal room.
