To expect that Yellow Moons Wooden Spoon Pals contain more then just wooden spoons?

Rather dissapointed, as stocking filler for DS I bought wooden spoon pals from Yellow Moon. They were delivered last week and when I opened the box, surprise surprise, the packet (on the outside it said not suitable for children under 3 because it contains small parts why I dont know as wooden spoons are not small nor can be swollowed by kids under three or by adults of that matter, havent tried though!) only contained 6 cheap wooden spoons.

Wrote to them and they confirmed it was only 6 wooden spoons. Why call it wooden spoon pals, showing wiggley eyes etc, on the photo.

Rant over but think this is very misleading !

How much did you pay for these six cheap looking wooden spoons? Do you have a link?

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 21/12/2007 20:01

these at the Early Learning Centre look good

Alambil · 21/12/2007 20:02

That is awful!

Very misleading!

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 21/12/2007 20:04

I've found the link here

The photo is misleading, but it doesn't actually say everything is included. It advertises what you need to decorate it with further down the page

Pickie · 21/12/2007 20:05

I paid £2.99 plus P&P for 6 wooden spoons. I deliberately havent included a link as dont want to give them any more publicity!

what you need to look for is the phrase 'everything you need is included' as on the ELC link

Pickie · 21/12/2007 20:09

Lesson learned, am going to include the poms poms and wiggley eyes myself now but so pleased I checked before wrapping it up Can you imagine DS face (4) when he opens a present just containing wooden spoons!

I'm glad you can still use them, but it is misleading to have a photo like that.

Pickie · 21/12/2007 20:13

It is the title more then anything that I find misleading. Understand they like to show the end product but nothing pally about just wooden spoons....

That is rubbish!!! I wont be ordering from them!

SeaShells · 21/12/2007 20:21

That's shocking! You can buy wooden spoons for 10p each, we often do that, buy wooden spoons and make them into puppets, I'd be seriously miffed if I'd spent £2.99 on that.
