to be considering going down to BT headquaters and pouring cold custard over the lot of them???

BT bill was paid by direct debit but BT keep taking it early and DP was getting charged. So DP cancelled DD and asked for ne w forms from BT.

Forms never came.

So DP totaly forgot about phone bill this month and wake up this morning to find phone is cut off ... (no phone call or letter asking for payment beforehand )

So I ring and she says you owe £65 ...

I say Ok Ill pay it ... she says you only have to pay £11 to reconnect your phone.

I pay £11 by card.

Still no working phone.

I ring back ... actully she says, i have to pay the whole £65 to recconect.

FINE.

Can I pay now please Im getting married tomorrow and have 1000 phone calls I need to make.

operator -- uhhh no, you can only make 1 card payment per 24 hours ... you could send a cheque.

me - is a cheque going to recconect my phone now?

operator - no.

me -

her - ill try and reconnect it anyways considering the circumstances (me thinking - uhhh you mean the fact you told me to pay £11??)

Blah, blah, blah ....

apparently its sorted -- i pay the £65 tomorrow and its reconnected.

Anyways phone still wasnt working so i phoned again and the REQUEST OF RECONNECTION HADN'T EVEN BEEN PUT THROUGH

Now it has, but phones still not working and could take upto 10 hours to do so.

Sooo many people I have to ring

bt cancelled my dd and i requested a new one which they said my bank declined it ??so they cut me off as i thought it was covered by dd bu it wasnt
so then they wanted the whole bill paid in full b4 reconnecting which i did last month
now i have a bill of £204 this week including reconnection charge which i dont beleive i should pay
they want it by the 23rd they have 2 chances

OMG that is ridiculous! If it isn't sorted within a few hours of business tomorrow (say by 11am) then ring them (if you can) and say you are moving companies! That may get them moving fast!

Ugh, arseholes.
Call back, tell them you want to speak to the boss, dont speak to a customer service assistant, they dont really have much clout tbh, ask to speak to their supervisor, then get their supervisor to speak to the tech dept to switch it back on now.
You will have to be really determined and really forthright, (dont swear or anything either, be as well mannered and well spoken as you can) but they will eventually put you to the right person.
I've had this trouble before, I got my internet switched off too, they ended up putting it back on and sending me a bill to pay at the post office, they even called me back three days later when I ws at work(they could only put it back on for three days, then it would be auto switched off again) and told me that it had been disconnected but they had already connected it for me again
as it was their fault.
