daimbarsatemydogsbone · 25/12/2021 23:08

Is it 83? What do I win?
What is restyling yourself?

cauliflowersqueeze · 25/12/2021 23:09

OP can you tell us please?

Featherstep · 25/12/2021 23:09

40s.
I'm 40, and I bring it out maybe once or twice a year these days on a very cold winter's night. Love it like that.

PAFMO · 25/12/2021 23:09

It doesn't matter how old you are. It came out in Europe in 1986. I was 20 and scoured shops trying to get hold of some after smelling it inside one of those perfumes strips in Cosmopolitan.
It's lost its former magnificence now, as it's been reformulated a lot. I have a bottle of old stuff still (gold rim around the brown top- is the unreformulated stuff) and it's still wonderful.
If you're looking for something new though, and Obsession has been your signature, you'll probably like:
Shalimar (same notes but more spice).
Some of Andy Tauer's. Lonestar Memories and L'Air diy desert Marocain have that warm spice kick.
Tom Ford Black Orchid
Chanel Coromandel.

Early 50’s, I’m 52 and still wear it because I love the smell still after all these years.

DoryisinCuba · 25/12/2021 23:11

50ish

SmellyOldPartridgeinaPearTree · 25/12/2021 23:12

I bought a bottle of Secret Obsession once when I was about 23. It was a bit too old for me but it did smell nice! It would suit me now probably and I'm late thirties. So I'm guessing 40ish?

Alwayswonderedwhy · 25/12/2021 23:13

I remember it being very popular when I was in my 20's. I'd say 50-60

Ethelfromnumber73 · 25/12/2021 23:14

I'm 47 and wore it until my mid 20s

NewBeta · 25/12/2021 23:15

I'm 50 in January and remember when this came out. Wow how I loved it. I must of been 17 or 18? I worked in London from 16 and spent a fair few quid on perfumes then. Samsara and paloma Picasso were other favourites. Hated Lou Lou and poison which were also around at the time. I still keep a bottle of obsession - it's really timeless I think

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 25/12/2021 23:15
  1. I have this perfume and love it 😁
JosiahJosiahKate · 25/12/2021 23:16

52

elp30 · 25/12/2021 23:19

I wore that in the late 80's and I'm 51.

HerRoyalNotness · 25/12/2021 23:20

I think mid 40s because you discovered it when it was the latest thing...?

PivotPivotPivottt · 25/12/2021 23:25

This is my mum's favourite perfume she's worn it as long as I can remember, she's 55.

fayebebaby · 25/12/2021 23:27

Mid 50’s I loved it I’m 56

Chokkiesaurus · 25/12/2021 23:35

Around 60. A colleague always finds a way to tell people about wearing that perfume, as if it is new and ’expensive’. Noone could be bothered to tell her it’s neither. But, if a perfume suits you well, then just wear it.

Chokkiesaurus · 25/12/2021 23:38

I lost my smell to covid 8 months ago, used to love perfumes. Have so many nice ones. Can’t smell any of them.

senorafridgidaire · 25/12/2021 23:40

Late 40s / early 50s. I loved Obsession, Byzance and Deci Dela by Nina Ricci

PumpkinCrumble · 25/12/2021 23:42

Without reading full thread….45.

Shamoo · 25/12/2021 23:42

Early to mid 40s I would think

avamiah · 25/12/2021 23:42

48 as I’m 48 and remember being bought this roughly 34 years ago by a boyfriend.
It was expensive back then and I thought it was just amazing.

The good old days
