Just wanted to share this as it made my day.

Christmas Day - just the four of us - me, my 18 year old daughter, 13 year old DS and 11 year old DS. I'm a single mum with no extended family and was feeling anxious about the whole thing.

My 11 year old is non verbal. The only word he says regularly is Mum.
They were all so happy and grateful for the presents I had chosen for them.
My daughter and 13 year old DS kept saying "Thank you", and then as clear as anything I heard another little voice say "Thank you".

I'm going through a really tough time, and hearing him say that just made the day so extra special.
It was just amazing!

My DS is non-verbal (well he babbles loads but it's mostly impossible to understand what he is trying to say) but the Christmas he has taught himself a full sentence that we can all clearly understand.

Not 'thank you' (which he can't pronounce, we know Baddie means thank you when he babbles) but no clear as day he has suddenly learned to say the whole sentence of 'I don't need you anymore' and taken great delight in yelling it at us repetitively while trying to dress himself lol.
