..I rang him about something this morning and he said, a propos nothing "Oh by the way, we want practical presents this year - things that will help us sort out the house [they have just moved], not hinder, like books and things. We need a kitchen measure and some cushions, for example" I gave them books last year!

Would I be unreasonable to give them a pack of black bin bags, a pair of rubber gloves and some Cillit Bang?

My brother rang me yesterday, his one phone call a year (forget visits they don't happen) to ask for relatives addresses so he can send their Christmas cards. GRRRRR

It says a lot for my level of organization - (but we are members of the same family after all!) that I didn't think there was anything at all unreasonable in the TIMING of his call!!!! It was the content that bothered me!
