Christmas elves are magical, cheeky and apparently now “sexy” with Amanda Holden. I just find it so weird for grown women to dress up like this and kiss in this way.

How about we let women wear what they want and stop dictating that women over a certain age must not try and be/feel/appear sexually appealing (regardless of whether you personally think it's attractive, tasteful etc)? That's how you end up with 25 year old women cast as the lead against a 45 year old man in every bloody film made.

There's wearing what you want, then there's trying to pretend you're something you're not. No one is saying she shouldn't dress to show off her amazing body, but it's how you do it. This is degrading to all women, and is just 'for the boys.' Naff and sad.

YABU, OP.

Amanda Holden (like many other people) has made her money by making herself into an object for men to leer at and women to talk about. She works hard (surgery, diet, exercise, clothes, make up, etc) to ensure she is a valuable commodity.

There are lots of other pretty pieces of meat out there so she needs to keep getting attention. She doesn't have any talent or think any deep thoughts (or has chosen not to) so this is the only way- if she doesn't do it, she will soon stop getting paid. This thread is exactly what she wants.

People will claim I'm being harsh but I'm making no judgement. She might be lovely; certainly people do much worse things for worse reasons.

Really it's the fault of the people pathetic enough to pay attention, including me for talking about it. I think it's a symptom of a deep problem with what we value about other humans, especially women.
