As an opposite thread, which celebs do you just love, and they can do no wrong ever, and you just love their face even when they do absolutely nothing?

Watching Strictly ITT (which I do not like) and I was reminded how much I love Mel Giedroyc. There's something just so funny and likeable about her even when she isn't saying anything.

She unexpectedly popped up in a musical I saw in London pre covid and she brought me so much joy it was ridiculous.

@AdultingAvoidance

I know this is going to be controversial but

Vogue Williams

What?? Oh no...
lemmein · 17/12/2021 20:32

@TheCanyon

Dick van dyke David Jason
Completely agree with these two.

When Dick Van Dyke was trending a few days ago just looking at his photos made me smile ☺️☺️

Alexander Armstrong. He can take me camping within the Arctic Circle any time.

Tana433 · 17/12/2021 20:32

Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais.

GingerbreadandJellytots · 17/12/2021 20:33

I also love Susie Dent

muddyford · 17/12/2021 20:34

Rylan
Graham Norton (on the radio I can give / take his TV show)
Claudia Winkelman (on TV but the radio!)

Blossomtoes · 17/12/2021 20:39

Ian Hislop. Utterly adorable, especially when he cracks up laughing.

Janeandjohnny · 17/12/2021 20:41

Sinead O Connor, magically sweet, misunderstood.

Anordinarymum · 17/12/2021 20:41

This is a bit random but I genuinely have a fond regard for Ade Edmondson. I think he is a lovely man

I also like Julie Etchingham. She just seems so very nice
Davina McCall is someone I would like to know.....
... and this is from local TV ... I adore Christine Talbot and was gutted that she retired from Calendar News!

BlowDryRat · 17/12/2021 20:42

Sir David Attenborough (why isn't he a Lord?)
Fiona Bruce
George Alagiah Sad His autobiography is excellent.

TheOldLadyOfThreadneedleStreet · 17/12/2021 20:45

Paul Merton and Jo Brand. I did like Victoria Wood.

Alpenguin · 17/12/2021 20:45

I don’t really buy into celeb culture or adore any of them - I certainly don’t buy into the premise there are humans who can do no wrong but if there was one it’d be Keanu Reeves. I’m reliably informed by someone who knows him well that he is lovely

picklepants756 · 17/12/2021 20:45

Dawn French

LittleBoPeepHasLostHerShit · 17/12/2021 20:49

Richard Ayoade. I'd watch absolutely anything with him in it.

MunchyCrunchyy · 17/12/2021 20:51

Bill nighy!

edification · 17/12/2021 20:53

Mel is a great presenter for a woodworking show on Channel 4 - it's interesting (to me) anyway, but she is so funny and warm and effortless

user1471462428 · 17/12/2021 20:54

Claudia Winkleman. My friend worked as a runner on a show with her and experienced a huge personal loss, Claudia who hadn’t previously known her was her rock. I smile at her everytime she’s on tv now.
