A suspended sentence? One day she will kill someone.

"but she hasn't killed anyone" - you have a very strange idea of crime and punishment in the UK. Do you honestly think everyone in prison has killed someone?

BarefootHippieChick · 15/12/2021 20:41

I wonder where Katie will be in 10 years time. I think her life is spiralling downward at a rate of knots and she's going to hit rock bottom sooner rather than later.

SpanielsAreMyLife · 15/12/2021 20:43

I'm so glad Harvey is in a decent residential college. It's local to us and an amazing place. You can see from her recent photos of him that he looks so much better and has already lost a substantial amount of weight.

His best future is away from his mother.

CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 20:43

@Blankscreen

Looks like she has managed to turn over a range rover which is £££££

She 'not good at paperwork' but she manages to buy an expensive car.

Is she still bankrupt. I don't understand how the bailiffs have not been sent round how did she afford the priory but not pay her court debt

It wasn't a Range Rover, it was a relatively old BMW that she filmed herself in, driving off-road around the property that she maintains is still hers but is actually about to be repossessed. The car is more likely to belong to her boyfriend than to be hers.

It's all smoke and mirrors with her.

whynotwhatknot · 15/12/2021 20:46

it is very odd how someone can afford the priory but not their court debt

NandorTheRelentless · 15/12/2021 20:47
@NandorTheRelentless
Are you deliberately bring obtuse? She's a repeated drink / drug driver? But it's ok because she said sorry?? Fuck off is it would it be OK if she killed someone you love because she said sorry?

That is very aggressive. And she hasn’t killed anyone, I don’t know why people are saying something as a reason but it hasn’t happened.
Too right its aggressive, and its only sheer bloody luck she hasnt killed anyone, afterall its not for lack of trying - and shes been CAUGHT 9 (or however many times) how many times has she done it and not been caught?

I've never done it. I stand fully by my Fuck off is it would it be OK if she killed someone you love because she said sorry?

NandorTheRelentless · 15/12/2021 20:47

@OneRuleForThem Why are you not outraged?

THisbackwithavengeance · 15/12/2021 20:48

@Againstmachine

I'm waiting for she's a great mum people to turn upGrin
I've been on MN long enough to remember when posters used to talk about what a great businesswoman KP was. Grin
londonrach · 15/12/2021 20:49

Yes! Half wondered if the judge knew her but that me being nasty. Can't image this sentence be given to Mrs Smith or Mr Mr Jones in middle England.....

Sceptre86 · 15/12/2021 20:50

She'll end up killing someone...likely herself.

The woman is a car crash from beginning to end but isn't the only celebrity to get off lightly in regards to this type of offence. Ant McPartlin did too. Its a different world for them and sometimes it seems that the law of the land only applies to those that can't buy themselves out of it.

All her life she has overshared with the press to make money. At first they seemed 'on her side' as that made them money, now they revel in her downfall. Each of her many exes has used her for their own personal gain. At some point you have to take responsibility for yourself but with addictions and mental health issues all coupled up together you often need support from somewhere and it doesn't look like she has any. I think it's all going to end in a tragic way.

Health insurance perhaps?
CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 20:52

The judge today was one who dealt with her once when she was due in court for calling the parents and teachers on her younger kids' school playground a bunch of "fucking cunts." She was hit with an injunction, I believe, and banned from the school premises for 5 years.
Yeah, great mum!
Anyway, she didn't bother turning up to court. The judge was not impressed, but seems to have forgiven her.

CathyorClaire · 15/12/2021 20:53

What happened about the heels she broke jumping off a wall?

Last I heard she was supposedly terrified she'd never walk again and yet here she is miraculously doing it in all senses of the word.

CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 20:53

"Health insurance perhaps?"

Hahaha. You can just imagine Katie dutifully paying the premiums for that!

Yes, and in killer heels on her recent Las Vegas jaunt.
ifellintoarabbithole · 15/12/2021 20:55

Sussex Police have said they think the sentence is too lenient, and are investigating if it can be appealed.

Quite right too.

She probably wouldn’t have to. It’s more than likely all covered in whatever fees she hand over to an agent and handled by them.

www.gov.uk/driving-disqualifications/disqualification-for-drink-driving

High risk offenders
If you’re a ‘high risk offender’, you will not get your new licence until you can prove you’re fit to drive again. You’ll need to pass a medical examination with one of DVLA’s appointed doctors.

You’re a high risk offender if you:

were convicted of 2 drink driving offences within 10 years

For the hard of understanding, I think that KP has had 9 - possibly on this thread?

They weren’t the only harsh words delivered to Price by District Judge Kelly, who informed the court that the celebrity has previously been banned from driving on five occasions.

“You appear to think that you are above the law. You have one of the worst driving records I have seen,” she commented.

Alongside receiving her sixth driving ban, Price was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, pay £213 and complete 20 sessions of rehabilitation work.

Addressing the court, defence lawyer Joe Harrington said her client was “a lady with a lot of things going on”.

“She has five children who she has contributed greatly to the care of.
who dont live with her
“In terms of her son Harvey she has been the only adult in his life.
while he is at residential college

Toddlerteaplease · 15/12/2021 21:01

@OneRuleForThem

I don’t get the hostility towards her all the time?? She has apologised for her actions. Do people actually want to see her in jail, her children separated their mother, from this?
Yes. She's broken the law multiple times. And could easily if killed someone.
OverByYer · 15/12/2021 21:02

I used to have a grudging admiration for KP, many years ago, for her work ethic and she seemed then to be a good Mum.
Now however, she is completely out of control.
I have no sympathy for drink driver, and someone who has done it multiple times deserves jail time as she has no regard whatsoever for the law.
Thank goodness her younger children are with their father's

MinnieJackson · 15/12/2021 21:04

She shouldn't be in charge of a car, kids, or animals. I feel it's going to end in a very bad way for her Sad

DismantledKing · 15/12/2021 21:06

She’s fucking awful. She’s a shit mother, a drug addict, and so much more.
She should have gone to prison.

Cameleongirl · 15/12/2021 21:08

At least she's been ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work, it's better than nothing.

But I agree that she should've had a custodial sentence given her driving history. 16 weeks inside would've been fairer.

I used to think she was OK, but she's out of control now.

whynotwhatknot · 15/12/2021 21:12

I dont think health insurance covers going to the priory

a laday with a lot going on-what drugs up her nose? because her children are hardly with her

Snog · 15/12/2021 21:12

I had no idea the courts were so lenient about driving whilst banned.

I think this verdict will encourage other people to break the law tbh. I wish Katie well but the sentencing doesn't seem very fair.
