A suspended sentence? One day she will kill someone.

@OneRuleForThem

I just can’t understand the vitriol driven to her over this when other people have done things far worse, all the time, and also don’t get prison time but people don’t make threads about them.
1) I don’t think that’s true. Drink driving is widely regarded as pretty appalling these days. 2) Its not a first offence or done due to an extenuating circumstance. 3) She’ll look to make money from it. Criminality will be profitable.
CauliflowerCheese30 · 15/12/2021 23:00

@SpanielsAreMyLife

I'm so glad Harvey is in a decent residential college. It's local to us and an amazing place. You can see from her recent photos of him that he looks so much better and has already lost a substantial amount of weight.

His best future is away from his mother.

Need a like button for this, agree with you.
MaHBroon · 15/12/2021 23:01

Of course very few people are all bad, but actions have consequnces, and KP has had plenty of chances to show she has learned from her previous bad decisions. But she continues to break the law. Her relationship with Harvey is irrelevant to the situation being discussed. confused

That works both ways in that her relationship with her other children is irrelevant also.

Or are you proving my point when I said that if people are going to post on a thread about KP then only negativity is allowed.

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 23:01

From another poster on another thread about Price.

For those who think she is 'ok actually...'

Her record of misdemeanours

April 2008 - caught driving while using a mobile phone

June 2008 - convicted over the April 2008 incident

September 2009 - caught speeding at 99mph

February 2010 - veered out of control into another lane while using a mobile phone, narrowly missing two other cars

July 2010 - convicted over the September 2009 incident

September 2010 - convicted over the February 2010 incident

December 2010 - caught on camera speeding and banned from driving for six months

July 2015 - convicted of failing to stop at a red light

February 2018 - banned from driving for another six months

July 2018 - photographed driving while disqualified

January 2019 - banned from driving for three months because of the July 2018 incident

October 2018 - found drunk in (crashed) vehicle

February 2019 - banned from driving for an additional three months for being drunk in charge of a vehicle in the October 2018 incident

October 2019 - banned from driving for two years over failing to provide details of the driver in the October 2018 incident. This ban was later reduced to 18 months, but she had a six-month ban from totting up penalty points so all together the ban ran through to October 2021

September 2021 - crashes car driving while still disqualified, having taken cocaine

After all this, she has STILL not been jailed!

As I said, (and so have many others,) no WAY would any of us on here have got away without a prison sentence.

How she keeps avoiding jail is a mystery!

Nicknacky · 15/12/2021 23:02

@MaHBroon So what positive things can we actually say about Katie Price? Because I’m struggling and a bond with a kid is a basic part of having a child and nothing to compliment. That’s should be a given.

MaHBroon · 15/12/2021 23:05

U OK hun? confused

Im perfectly Ok thank you.

But I don’t think Nander is given her last few posts and the rage she’s in.

And On the subject of Ok. How are you given you seem very confused.

CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 23:10

Also, on that recent trip to Vegas (how the HELL did she get a visa for the USA with her criminal record?) she also posted on Instagram a video where she was draped all over some other woman who I believe was on Big Brother with her once and clearly off her head with drink or drugs.
This is directly after a supposed stint in The Priory and when she was still maintaining she was working with them.
And the Judge still chose to let her off a jail term because she had engaged with rehab? It's clearly a shite program.

Littlepaws18 · 15/12/2021 23:12

@MaHBrown the issues are linked, she has chosen to live her life in the media via her own social media and tv programmes. She portrays herself as a great mom, and that as well as her image is her greatest assets. However, her repeated breaking the law has a negative adverse impact on the view that she is a great mother as by doing this she is harming her childrens wellbeing, this is especially significant as some of her children are particularly vulnerable due to age and disability. But she is still portraying herself to be this amazing mother via media even writing a Christmas book about it!

In turn her openness to her life in the media has opened her choices up to scrutiny. Her choices to use drugs and drink whilst driving don't marry well with her view of being an outstanding mother. And this should be open to scrutiny because she influences lots of people including moms. Her actions and her lack of accountability result in these people accepting that this is a good measure of a mother.

She would get my empathy and understanding if she didn't self promote as an amazing mother and just simply advertised her life as this is me.

It's the role model/ influence she has that makes her choices worrying.

Mamamia7962 · 15/12/2021 23:21

The judge wasn't able to give her a custodial sentence today because of a legal loophole.

Mamamia7962 · 15/12/2021 23:25

Katie Price complied with the terms of her release which was she had to go to rehab and didn't commit further offences.

earsup · 15/12/2021 23:28

All very odd...harvey is now in a care facility so she dont look after him etc...she must have friends in high places...bankcrupt yet never pays and always on holiday with new expensive hand bags and surgery....its a real mystery how she keeps going....

CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 23:29

"didn't commit further offences."

I presume they don't count things like allegedly lying on a visa application (for entry to the US) or getting thrown off a plane for refusing to wear a mask?

youvegottenminuteslynn · 15/12/2021 23:34

I'm disgusted by the sentencing.

As someone whose life has been changed forever due to a selfish prick drinking and driving, how DARE yet another system let victims down. Because there will be victims. She won't stop driving ever, whether she's got a license or not. That much is clear from her behaviour in the last.

Looking at her history of driving offences is such fucking miserable reading because every single one that involved speeding, booze and drugs in this case, could have injured or killed others.

She doesn't give a fuck.

On the plus side, not a chance she'll last 12 months without doing something else similar.

I'm still disgusted though. It's obscene and I can't understand how the fuck shes getting special treatment by the legal system. For so long.

Mamamia7962 · 15/12/2021 23:36

CallmeHendricks - I haven't read anything about that, but I presume if true that she wasn't arrested.

PegasusReturns · 15/12/2021 23:36

I think she’s very unwell and the biggest chance of her getting better in being in a treatment facility. Recovering reduces the chances of reoffending which is ultimately better for everyone.

She should be pitied.

RoseRedRoseBlue · 15/12/2021 23:37

@Mamamia7962

The judge wasn't able to give her a custodial sentence today because of a legal loophole.
Not to split hairs, but she DID get given a custodial sentence - just not an immediate one. What I can’t understand is why immediate custody wasn’t suitable.
Nicknacky · 15/12/2021 23:38

@PegasusReturns I assume you have missed that this is by far from her first offence?

youvegottenminuteslynn · 15/12/2021 23:41

@OneRuleForThem

I don’t get the hostility towards her all the time?? She has apologised for her actions. Do people actually want to see her in jail, her children separated their mother, from this?
Yes. Because she won't ever learn there are consequences to her repeated, consistent, selfish driving related illegal behaviour.

My life was changed forever by a drink driver. They didn't go to jail either. If they had a history of convictions resulting in bans and fines, yet still continued to reoffend repeatedly, I would feel utterly abandoned by the justice system if they weren't given a custodial sentence.

Having children and the fact it's Christmas is absolutely irrelevant.

What about the children she could have injured or killed each time she offended? The adults she could have injured or killed? And those are just the times we know about.

I'm baffled as to why you're surprised people are hostile and don't think after this many repeated offences she shouldn't have gotten a custodial sentence.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 15/12/2021 23:42
@NandorTheRelentless
Are you deliberately bring obtuse? She's a repeated drink / drug driver? But it's ok because she said sorry?? Fuck off is it would it be OK if she killed someone you love because she said sorry?

That is very aggressive. And she hasn’t killed anyone, I don’t know why people are saying something as a reason but it hasn’t happened.
It hasn't happened through sheer luck. Yet.

YourVagesty · 15/12/2021 23:44

I think it's pathetic. I hope the police appeal is successful.

PegasusReturns · 15/12/2021 23:47

@Nicknacky

No. She offends because she’s an addict. The way to stop her offending is to stop her being an addict. The way to stop her being an addict is not to send her to prison.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 15/12/2021 23:50

@greenlynx

I’m ok with her not going to prison, I just want people in her situation to be banned from driving for life.
but would that make a difference? She clearly drives even when banned from.doing so.
Mamamia7962 · 15/12/2021 23:50

RoseRed - Because the judge legally couldn't impose an immediate jail sentence. When she was in court last time, sentencing was deferred and the conditions that were imposed, Katie Price adhered to, so the judge had no choice but to give a suspended sentence.

Nicknacky · 15/12/2021 23:51

@PegasusReturns So she has been an addict since 2010 since her first ban?

Addicts go to prison every day for their offending. And rightly so. Or do you you think addicts shouldn’t be imprisoned for robbery, shoplifting etc?

Where do you draw the line?

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 15/12/2021 23:57
@MaHBroon I have an amazing bond with my children also, so much so that I actively avoid doing things that might put me in jail.
Not such an amazing bond she didn't massively risk her life and also the lives of other kids parents by driving drunk.... Again.
