A suspended sentence? One day she will kill someone.

CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 22:31

@OneRuleForThem, Possibly first offenders, but Katie has been in court for driving (and other) offences more times than I've had hot dinners.
She could not give one shiny fuck for the law, which is evident in her behaviour.
I REALLY hope that the Sussex police force are successful in their potential bid to appeal against this paltry sentence.

OneRuleForThem · 15/12/2021 22:35

I just can’t understand the vitriol driven to her over this when other people have done things far worse, all the time, and also don’t get prison time but people don’t make threads about them.

MaHBroon you asked why it wasn't challenged

&It’s unfortunate that the original post by nomoresugar wasn’t challenged by CallmeHendricks until she read my post.^

Do try and keep up.

Here's a newsflash for you, I didn't notice it until someone challenged it, at which point I felt it was worth adding my voice to. So you can take your condescending apologist attitude and shove it somewhere painful

Nicknacky · 15/12/2021 22:36

@OneRuleForThem You never answered. Do you think fathers shouldn’t be imprisoned if they haven’t killed anyone?

Have you listened at all to other posters?
NandorTheRelentless · 15/12/2021 22:38

@MaHBroon

Why does something good need to be said about her? confused The thread is about her repeat offences and dangerous behaviour

The thread may have started off about her offences but it very soon became an excuse for people to be absolutely vile about someone who really isn’t well and hasnt been for a long time. And that’s not excusing what she’s done. It’s just about finding something positive to say about a very damaged soul.

Not that I expect too many here to understand that based on the posts.

And I have only commented on her DRINKING/DRUG DRIVING RECORD, nothing about her other life, except to add to the point we should not comment on the whys and wherefores of her oldest child.

I bet its really lonely up there on your high horse

Bohemiajean · 15/12/2021 22:38

OneRuleforThem I don't see vitriol. I see shock, anger and disappointment.

I don't dislike Katie Price. I dislike the way she behaves. There is a difference. As someone who lost a parent to a drink driver I find her behaviour abhorrent. I find the sentence for her behaviour disgraceful.

Riverlee · 15/12/2021 22:38

Other people don’t live their life in the public eye.

Mrsmadevans · 15/12/2021 22:39

I am relieved for her chidren that their Mum won't be in jail for Christmas.

You reckon there are other people out there with similarly lengthy lists of previous convictions who have avoided prison?

Her lawyer did a remarkable job. I presume he's not expecting her to pay the bill?

ClareBlue · 15/12/2021 22:43

She is making the Court look like complete dicks and the Judge said she had a reasonable expectation not to go to jail if she abided by the rehab conditions.

Actually, we have a reasonable expectation that the Court will protect us from repeat offenders.
At some stage justice has to be seen to be done and I would say it has got to that stage with KP.

Northofsomewhere · 15/12/2021 22:45

@OneRuleForThem

I just can’t understand the vitriol driven to her over this when other people have done things far worse, all the time, and also don’t get prison time but people don’t make threads about them.
But surely it shouldn't be 'X didn't receive a punishment so y shouldn't either'. I think in this case it's that drink/drug driving in entirely avoidable and she's shown she's incapable of not avoiding it on many occasions. It would be the same if a man had 9 incidents only his being a good parent wouldn't even come into it. That's 9 times where she's been caught, 9 times (very very likely more) where she put innocent people in danger due to her actions. Just because she hasn't already killed someone doesn't mean she won't, she hasn't changed in the past so why would she change now?

I do think when people pull out the 'but what about others' card then you're starting to run out of arguments. What she did was illegal, people can start a thread on what they like and others can comment like you are now. Start a thread about another celeb who broke the law 9 times and endangered the public and I imagine you'd get a similar response.

PlacidPenelope · 15/12/2021 22:46

@OneRuleForThem

But absolutely loads of people get away with driving drunkenly all the time, daily, not just Katie Price so why is everyone saying she should go to jail for it?? She should pay a fine if she hasn’t, I haven’t read it, but she hasn’t killed anybody, but some people Are insisting she be imprisoned - and ok, if her kids don’t live with her, but she’s still their mother
Yes she should be imprisoned because that is the punishment for what she has done and done repeatedly, you can bet your bottom dollar you would have been if you'd done the same.

Why are you so hung up on the fact she hasn't killed anyone, do you think no-one should be in prison unless they have?

KP is continually flouting the law, one day soon some poor law abiding sod's luck will run out whilst KP is out on the road breaking the law again. Are you going to say then that well she is a mother and not all bad? It's inevitable, KP thinks the law doesn't apply to her and doesn't give toss about anyone else.

I wish Sussex Police every success in their appeal.

MissCruellaDeVil · 15/12/2021 22:47

She has been banned from driving 6 times, and caught driving whilst banned twice! I get she has issues but any one else would have had the book thrown at them.

Littlepaws18 · 15/12/2021 22:48

I don't feel she has taken responsibility for her actions, yes it's the first step to admit which she has done. However she has not accepted the repercussions of her actions and she has not learned from them. Going to the priory was an important first step, but immediately afterwards she went to Las Vegas! This holiday completely undermined her credibility as someone who was taking steps to change her life choices for the better. I can't imagine how the whole situation was for her children, having a major car accident, not seeing her for weeks as she was in the priory then going to Las Vegas as soon as she got out. That is not a sign of a good mother, but of an inherently selfish one. The whole 'making a mockery of the media' was bizarrely gave us a glimpse into her mental state. Goading them with false statements then hurling abuse and crying victim when it was published.

As for her reputation of being a good mother, she takes cocaine, she drives drunk and high. She prioritises holidays over needed time with her children. Poor Harvey has no other parental figure and his relationship with Carl is disturbing. Recently on Carls insta he posted videos of Harvey making the bird gesture using him like a performing monkey- it was sad to watch.

She is in massive amounts of debt yet seemingly flaunts expensive holidays, mini breaks, surgery clothing, hair extensions, flash cars, teeth the list is endless. How must her creditors feel? Even if she is heavily subsidised for these products it's still poor taste and bad judgement to flaunt such items on social media.

As for her sentence today, what a joke. 9 times she has been drunk/ high behind a wheel- 9! She has more lives than a cat! As for having a lot on, most of it is of her own making to which she doesn't take responsibility for. And yes her mom has a horrendous life limiting disease to which I have personal experience with. It's horrendous but that doesn't excuse her behaviour in fact it makes her behaviour more vile as she is doing this at a time when her mom her family need her most.

As an ex fan of hers I'm so gutted at her life choices and angry that she still has limelight and influence over young people who look up to her.

A terrible public figure.
A terrible mother.
A lucky criminal.

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 22:49

@MaHBroon is clearly Katie, or her mother. Wink Definitely someone who knows her. There is no reason on EARTH why anyone would - or SHOULD - defend this dreadful woman. Unless they are one of the few who actually know her and have to like her...

She has behaved so appallingly SO many times now, that only the terminally ignorant would even attempt to defend her.

She has burned all her bridges with most people now. You cannot defend the indefensible

@MaHBroon How have you “got the better” of that poster? What a strange thing to say.

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 22:53

Excellent post @Littlepaws18

What this woman needs is a good THREE YEARS in prison.

Her children deserve better. I am SICK of her CONSTANTLY getting away with things that normal people would NEVER get away with.

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 22:53
@NandorTheRelentless

I can see it really upsets you when someone gets the better of you when replying to your deliberate attempts to cause a rammy but In the spirit of the season - would you like a wee cuddle to make you feel better. It will have to be quick though because it’s almost 3am where I live and way past my bedtime.
U OK hun? Confused

Suzanne999 · 15/12/2021 22:54

@daimbarsatemydogsbone

How the fuck can she afford insurance?
She wouldn’t have been covered by insurance as she was banned. Had she hit another car, injured someone, killed them….. I don’t think there could have been a financial claim via insurance. I can only assume the insurance on the car was in boyfriend’s name maybe?

My first thought when it happened was where were her kids? Do none of them live with her?

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 22:54
@MaHBroon How have you “got the better” of that poster? What a strange thing to say.
A LOT of what
@MaHBroon
is saying is strange!

MaHBroon · 15/12/2021 22:55

@MaHBroon is clearly Katie, or her mother

Honestly I’m not Katy or her mum.

In fact yesterday when I read in the papers that she was scared she was going to jail this time my reaction was well hell mend you.

But, by the same token I can still find something very lovely about her and that is the interaction between her and Harvey.

OhWhyNot · 15/12/2021 22:56

I remember many on here turning against her ex Peter and claiming she was a great mother and savvy businesswoman

He maybe smarmy but she is vile always has been

She trashes through everyone’s life I feel sorry for her children

ClareBlue · 15/12/2021 22:57

If you ignore the Court Order not to drive and you drive, without insurance and pissed, and do it again, what exactly are the options open to the Court

 1. Accept that the Orders don't apply to certain people
 2. Accept that Orders don't apply to anyone,
 3. Up the sanctions to make sure everyone knows that if you don't obey Court Orders you go to prison.
Not many repeat offenders don't have some kind of issues, but they still go to Prison if they ignore the Court Orders.
