@PartyPrawnRingGames

YABVVVVVVVVVVVU it's one of my main Christmas essentials along with coffee, chocolate, mincepies, lebkuchen, more coffee, Baileys and my namesake luxury prawn ring. I mean I am not against a Bacon roll though don't get me wrong but cheese gets its own fridge shelf in Dec and that's how it will always be in this house. As for dessert noone will ever convince me Tiramisu is not the best so don't even bother trying.
So telling you that not only do I not like cheese, but also can't stand coffee will go down well then? 😂
DrCoconut · 15/12/2021 17:01

I am not a big fan of cheese but I was not brought up eating it. It was something we never had in the house and I remember trying it for the first time at a school friend's house. I was not keen but daren't leave it as was the norm then. I had Edam at another friend's house in secondary school and had a migraine later that day. I was then 18 and with my first ex before I had cheese again I think, other than as a square on a burger occasionally. I will eat a bit of cheddar or similar or a cheese sauce and I like halloumi but certainly wouldn't view cheese as some kind of treat. And I still avoid Edam.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 15/12/2021 17:03

That's OK. You can eat all the chocolate, biscuits and cake that I'd rather boil my own eyeballs than put into my mouth.

pigsDOfly · 15/12/2021 17:09

People talking about cheese on burgers.

I don't eat burgers so obviously I'm not an expert but is the bright yellow stuff they put on burgers actually cheese? I thought is was some sort of edible plastic.

Rollmopsrule · 15/12/2021 17:10

I'm envious of cheese non believers. I love the stuff.

Quornflakegirl · 15/12/2021 17:11

Cheese in any shape or form is life for me. I was given a taster in a cheese shop at the weekend and it was so smelly it actually knocked the breath out of me, I still liked it!

Doomscrolling · 15/12/2021 17:19

I currently have 8 different types of cheese in my fridge and I haven't even collected the Christmas cheese orders.

I prefer cheese to pretty much everything I can think of.

hangrylady · 15/12/2021 17:21

YABU. I love cheese, the mouldier and stinkier the better!

MeltedButter · 15/12/2021 17:23

Have you tried ALL the cheeses though?

TheLadyGrayson · 15/12/2021 17:24

God I wish I had this problem 😁

Elisemum · 15/12/2021 17:25

Cheese is life!! I love all cheeses, the smellier the better! Oh I can have a cheeseboard every day :)

Hankunamatata · 15/12/2021 17:33

My kids could possibly live on pizza though the eldest hates cheese that isn't melted

PinkSyCo · 15/12/2021 17:42

I’m with you OP I like cheesy things-lasagne, cauliflower cheese, erm a cheese toastie….cheese and onion crisps?….. cheesecake etc but someone once gave me a cheeseboard for Christmas and it went straight to my mum. Most cheese is absolutely vile unless it’s melted into something.

elfonthestairs · 15/12/2021 17:52

I would love to like a bowl of macaroni cheese or hunters chicken so I do feel left out 🤣

OP posts:
IglesiasPiggl · 15/12/2021 17:54

You just haven't found the cheese for you, OP 😂. Carry on searching, it must be out there....

FangsForTheMemory · 15/12/2021 17:55

I'll have your cheese.

Happy to look after cheese, always.

DroopyClematis · 15/12/2021 17:59

Shropshire Blue... cheese of the gods.
You need some decent crackers and a little dab of chilli jam too.

DroopyClematis · 15/12/2021 18:00

And no, OP, yanbu to not like it, just sad that you've had a couple of snarky comments on a lighthearted and slightly festive thread.

christmaspombear · 15/12/2021 18:03

Yanbu cheese is disgusting - including but not limited to: cheese on it's own, Envycheesecake, Envycooked cheese Envy fromage frais Envy actually all cheese EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy

To the extent I can't even watch an advert with it in or touch packaging EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy

I'm Turophobic

PiggyPlumPie · 15/12/2021 18:03

Cheese on pizza, a bit on top of lasagne or a pasta bake but that's about it for me.

Never have liked it and not likely to change now!

TuftyMarmoset · 15/12/2021 18:04

Yanbu. It’s congealed cow juice and smells like sick!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 15/12/2021 18:50

@TuftyMarmoset

Yanbu. It’s congealed cow juice and smells like sick!
Curdled, salted, pressed and mostly aged Cow/Sheep/Goat/Buffalo Juice, actually.

An ex used to refer to it as mouldy mammary secretions. He always was a misogynistic twat and this started up in earnest as I was breastfeeding our new baby and absolutely desperate for something to eat that wasn't a vegan cake, cheap white sliced or chips

he also binged on the stuff when he thought nobody was looking at the arsey Vegan warrior

ABitOfAShitShow · 15/12/2021 18:54

YABVVVVVVU.

RunningFromInsanity · 15/12/2021 18:59

Cheese is the devils food. I cant stand any type but soft and melted cheese makes me gag just looking at it.

the80sweregreat · 15/12/2021 19:00

It is the food of the gods !!
