a delivery of a dining suite thats taken 2 yrs to materialise ???? (not something I did to delay it btw )!

She has to pick up her kids from a day club thing and may not be in when they will probably deliver no doubt!!

She asked if I would come and house sit , baring in mind Im not working right now (havent done at all this year due tofamily medical problems) and I will have my 2 dd's with me. One of which has just recovered from surgery and she knows full well Ive been stuck in my own house for weeks!

You would think she would WANT to be in for this momentous occasion.

I just hope to god that its all ok when it arrives. I cant take the stress of it anymore!!!

You are being a star - the delivery of stuff is such a pain.

Can you feel a little Christmas spirit about it..

..and don't sign for it unless it looks in absolute perfect condition

CarGirl · 18/12/2007 19:46

or sign saying not-inspected!

NomDePlume · 18/12/2007 19:48

she is a client ?

Weird.

I can understand doing this for a mate, but a client seems a bit above and beyond

melsy · 18/12/2007 20:05

Didnt really have intentions of doing so and have told her so ! Not sure shes hapy with me , but thought it very high expectation of me. She often assumes that I am forever in her debt due to various problems with this job.

Sorry didnt mention that I designed this said suite and the house.

So you are her interior designer ? Maybe that isn't so mad then, but I think she is still being a little demanding given your personal circumstances, but I suppose if you are project managing the design, then it is your job to make sure the scheme is taken to the final conclusion.

melsy · 18/12/2007 21:05

oh bum. I just dont know what to do now. Its been going on so long. Im not in a place with circumstances to deal with it. Its an arse as shes a social conection to, so she should understand were Im at,she knows everything thats going on /one on with my family, but whenever things arise with this she puts on her Im your employer hat.

Also there was never ever anything about me being her project manager it just happened , possibly out of my lack of experience!!

NEVER EVER WORK FOR FRIENDS !

After all that and re organising it for them today , the delivery company went and delivered the WRONG FU**ING BLOODY SUITE.

Ive now emailed , texted and phoned my supplier and hes not replying.

WHY oh why after 2 yrs has he allowed it to go wrong again at the 11th hour.

I DESPAIR and so does my client.
