to think William and Kate's Christmascard this year was badly judged?

So not only has William been hectoring us about climate change and sustainable travel, but there's been a pandemic which has been a pandemic which for many people has been financially devastating, and for most of us a holiday seems a distant pipe dream. So this year of all years they have chosen a photo of themselves all looking tanned and relaxed on a (presumably free) holiday. Just feels a tad ill judged?

@LuluBlakey1 I totally love that photo of George. One looks back on the likes of Henry VIII and the more terrifying Angevin monarchs and it is hard to imagine wanting to squidge them because they are adorable.

Just as a thought experiment, what would the Daily Mail headline be if Harry and Meghan released a similar picture?

Given they're yet to release a photo of the latest Sussex, this is a complete non sequitur.

They can't win whatever they do!!! I can't get worked up over this.... they went on holiday when it was permitted and took a nice family photo.

If it does happen, the insults and vitriol will be endless. But... I admire them, they don't expose their DCs to the media. Well done them.

  3. Piers Morgan op-ed to bloviate about hypocrisy, foreign travel, disrespecting the queen
  4. Sarah Vine about Jordan's human rights record
  5. Comparison photos of the Sussex and Cambridge Christmas cards
  6. Lists of celebrities who received a Christmas cards
  7. General clickbait about waffle.

I'm ambivalent about monarchy but I think the photo is fine. The Middletons used to live in Jordan when K was a child so I imagine she wanted her dc to visit the same places (and avoid the paps at the same time).

YANBU. I normally like them, but I just said to DH that this year’s card seems very out of touch. Most of us haven’t had a holiday in years at all, let alone flown to Jordan during a pandemic while sitting on a gold seat Hmm.

It's a lovely photo of them all. Probably should have done one in the garden at home though. Beyond that I have more important things to think of.

I hate the rule that they pre not allowed to hold hands/show affection in public, and now that Harry and Megan do they’ve started to copy with the hand on the back thing, and I’m with you on the laugh!

I used to quite like them but am finding them so perfect that they’re really predictable and boring now. Wish kate would just get shitfaced or do something vaguely outrageous instead of being so perfect and polished all the time
