To exect DH to have sorted out his expense claims so that we've not got a cashflow crisis just before Xmas

Aaaaaaaarrrrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry just needed to scream in frustration!

I'm in my last month of maternity leave so we're starting to feel the pinch a bit anyway never mind it being Xmas. Despite DH being paid last week we have no money in the account because he says he has been too busy to claim for the last months' lot of expenses.

I was relying on his December pay packet to do the Xmas food shopping and finish off the present shopping, but now I'm going to have to dust off the emergency credit card.

It's bad enough that his employer expects him to work away all week never mind their stupid expenses policy which means that he has to pay for flights etc himself and then claim them back.

Just wanted to empathise. My dh (bless him) is uber organised but we still have to pay £2500 to our credit card while we wait for his expenses. Give him a boot and make it a new years resolution to do it on time!!! for you

Sympathies - we have the opposite problem, DH gets his expenses in regularly, on time (and even ahead of time sometimes!) and like you we have to pay out of our money and he gets reimbursed. however his company often takes weeks (or even months ) to pay up...
