Don't miss out folks... It was for sale last year, and it's back this year, as there were no takers. SHOCKER! Shock

It's the '12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS MASSIVE TABLE CENTER PIECE DECORATION - ALL DAYS / FIGURES!'

Just £699.99. Don't walk, RUN, or you'll miss it! Grin

It's so out of place compared to the other stuff that the seller has sold.

Anyone else find it really hard to read the all caps lock description?

Colouringaddict · 30/11/2021 22:11

I was all set to buy it…… but a different bird painted to look like a partridge?! WTF! So glad I read the wonderfully worded description, I would have been so disappointed, surely a partridge in a pear tree, should be held in the highest esteem!

dropitlikeitsloth · 30/11/2021 22:13

That cost £6 to make, tops 🤣

BeardyButton · 30/11/2021 22:14

Christ... I ve got this terrible feeling I ll buy that. Like I ll stop concentrating on being a rational human being for five minutes and I ll press buy it now. Or I ll have another glass of wine and decide it would be hilarious.

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/11/2021 22:16

Oh come on, there is enough of us! £1 each and its ours!

Thing is....who is tacky enough to send it to?

GreatWesternValkyrie · 30/11/2021 22:26

@tearinghairout

"I couldn't find a partridge toy" Grin Well, that's no good, is it?
Well, quite! It’s pretty obvious that if you don’t have the right animal for the job, you use a dinosaur.

Or if you really have to, a festive gonk.

Amateurs 😆

Tombero · 30/11/2021 22:29

Forget Carol’s from Kings. This tree and a thread should mark the start of Christmas each year Grin

Cheerbear24 · 30/11/2021 22:29

Well… I don’t have any words…
And what’s sweet eggs and gentlemen’s relish? I don’t think I want to google that!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 30/11/2021 22:33

That. Is. SPECTACULAR.

On a similar theme, do we have a Christmas FB Marketplace Tat thread yet? Grin

BrightYellowDaffodil · 30/11/2021 22:35

@Cheerbear24

Gentleman’s Relish is an anchovy paste. Can’t help on the “sweet eggs” though...

RedSquirrelsAreAwesome · 30/11/2021 22:41

Sadly it’s far too understated to fit in with my decorations.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 30/11/2021 22:41

Ah, there goes my Ebay viewing history.
Like a pp I have the fear now that I'm going to accidentally hit that "buy it now" button without really thinking.

Lizzy1980 · 30/11/2021 22:42

Wonder how many people he has watching the item as a result of this thread? Haha Smile

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/11/2021 22:47

I love that it says on eBay 7 new watchers in the last 24 hours 😂 make that 8!

By the time this thread's finished there'll probably be a load more

Just imagine how excited the poor sod's going to be ...

DappyApple · 30/11/2021 22:50

Ha I remember this, didn’t realise it had been running for five years!

Love how he stipulates, “But Please dont buy this to break the item as bases are well & truly embedded in the plaster of Paris”

Now for £699 is it not yours to take a sledgehammer to it if you so wished? 🤔…..sounds like he might hunt you down in the dead of the night, if you even dared to try taking it apart. 😂

esloquehay · 30/11/2021 22:56

Please, please can someone buy it for me? It's beautiful and I'd post yearly updates on MN, so you all know how it's getting along. Or, we could arrange a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Awesomeness I'll place it lovingly within?

lunarlandscape · 30/11/2021 22:58

@HerRoyalHappiness

Grin I do love this. Hes had it up for sale for years and years and no one has bought it yet
Because he loves it. Every year his wife says, 'Please can we get rid of that?' and he says, 'Of course darling. I'll put it on Ebay.' Then set the price at £699 and happily keeps it another year.
WingingItSince1973 · 30/11/2021 22:59

It does say you can pay in 24 month installments for £34 per month with PayPal finance. So it's within everyone's reach really 🤣🤣🤣

notthemum · 30/11/2021 22:59

@LaurieFairycake.
Normally I am convinced that I am going to win the lottery, but please win so we can all come to the party . My only gripes with the wonderful festive treat that you are about to own are the partridge is not a partridge and the bloody Christmas tree is not a pear tree. I however have a real pear tree.

Tabbydancer · 30/11/2021 23:02

I applaud his ambition

HeckinMiffed · 30/11/2021 23:09

ah, the epitome of Christmas tat! I love/loathe this!
I wonder if anyone anywhere will ever buy it!! :D

NoSquirrels · 30/11/2021 23:11

Oh come on. This is a MN crowdfunder, surely?

£1 a ticket, only allowed 1 share so total investment £1.

700 deluded/gin-soaked/festive fuckers and a lottery style ‘who gets it next year’ draw…

Pretty please…

He must be up to his eyes on eBay fees Grin
GrouchyKiwi · 30/11/2021 23:14

I need it. I need it so badly.

DH is so glad I don't have enough money in my savings (dogs are expensive).

Chocolatewheatos · 30/11/2021 23:21

Aw I feel sorry for him! He clearly worked hard on it!
