Something v.v. weird about them - are they robots? And what's this brother/sister/love-in???

OP posts:
Kathyate6mincepies · 14/12/2007 16:32

yes I hate them!
robots is a good theory - incestuous robots?

MerryAnnSinglemas · 14/12/2007 16:33

dh says they are pod people
I just think they are bland

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:34

I'm terrified they will win tomorrow night, as it will give them free rein to self-clone and take over the planet

OP posts:
saythatagain · 14/12/2007 16:34

I think they're just very happy (irritating as it is) people who desperatley want to get on in that wacky world of show-biz 'n' stuff. 'Tis weird I agree.

ChubbyStuckForAFestiveNameBurd · 14/12/2007 16:35

A future in (shit) kids tv. They're nauseating.

pinetreedog · 14/12/2007 16:35

They disturb me because they are so blardy crap and some people keep saying they're good.

Mediocrity is king

TenLordsaLapin · 14/12/2007 16:35

I have no idea who they are, but they are from round here, so the local radio station keeps rabbiting on about them!

MerryAnnSinglemas · 14/12/2007 16:36

I can't take the smiley gurning, wide eyes boy and girl next door stuff = her in her Sandy (as a nice girl) from Grease frocks. Am sure they are genuinely nice in RL too, but it makes me nauseous.

allIWannaBeForChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:37

I started a similar thread about this a few weeks ago. Imo they are weird.

was talking to someone about them yesterday and she said "you know, I can imagine them on rainbow" .

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:38

was so weird when they were in twin beds for the Wake Me Up Before You Go Go number

OP posts:
merrylissiemas · 14/12/2007 16:38

i love them (so does ds) and think that siblings who are obviously really close, are happy, upbeat and polite are much better role models than amy winehouse and pete doherty. they can sing and dance and will be fab doing something like s-club 7's kids show.

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:39

(I wouldn't normally be watching the rubbish but I have a 9 yr old DD)

OP posts:
Iota · 14/12/2007 16:39

I thought they looked like they belonged in the Wiggles

geekymummy · 14/12/2007 16:40

I agree with pinetreedog. I've stopped watching the X-Factor now that most of the decent singers have gone.

I don't think SD are terrible, not like the McDonald Bros were last year but potential winners of the X-Factor???

allIWannaBeForChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:41

but that's the thing lissie, they can't sing. no better than your average kareoke act anyway - it's the gimics that are keeping them afloat. and singing love song duettes "nothing's gunna stop us now" just has a very uncomfortable air about it.

pinetreedog · 14/12/2007 16:43

however, as the girl seemed to have a very miserable, bullied childhood (possibly for someof the charatcer traits that are being mentioned) I feel a bit uneasy seeing her slagged off again.

Their talent is very mediocre. They seem a nice pair of people, though

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:44

AllIWanna: Did you? And did everyone agree with you? True re. Rainbow! They resemble a pair of Zippies on heavy medication

OP posts:
ChubbyStuckForAFestiveNameBurd · 14/12/2007 16:45

Ah yes, I knew there was a positive. Her big bro looked after her when she was bullied.

I always wanted a big brother.

I'm glad my first is a boy

EricScrooge · 14/12/2007 16:45

They are a kids cabaret act.

No idea what the general public are on when they are voting.

Bet a lot of kids must be voting.

rey · 14/12/2007 16:46

They seem ordinary to me and for that I hope they win I really do.

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:47

She's just working that childhood. I'd keep it quiet - actions speak louder than words - let the bullies of the past view her success in Blando Land rather than watch videotape of her still sobbing over past problems!

OP posts:
allIWannaBeForChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:47

obviously it's sad that she was bullied, but I do find it slightly that this fact is brought to light on the day of the semi-finals when it is vital for them to get votes nothing like tears to bring out sympathy.

DiBackFromDead · 14/12/2007 16:49

pmsl at 'they seem ordinary'

OP posts:
awayinNaeManger · 14/12/2007 16:49

DH and I actually screamed the other night when she did her scary wide eye look at the camera.
fright-en-ing.

ChubbyStuckForAFestiveNameBurd · 14/12/2007 16:49

[gullible fool emoticon] I was sucked in!
