Hi all, so basically i am in a rut at the moment, i have lost altogether 65lb over 5 years and i am stuck at 160lb.
I am 5'9 and i am starting to obsess about how i look, my DH keeps saying the usual "you look fine babe" but i need some perspective.. what do we think? Fat or not? All i see is fat! Currently a 14 bottom 12 top and sick and tired of it

No i am saying the photo is not photo shopped, i can't honestly think why someone would ask a question and write a post like mine and then photoshop a photo? It took alot of courage for me to actually post that picture, you have no idea how much, its not photo shopped but thanks for the encouragement on loosing weight.

You have a lovely figure op, really sexy waist and hips combo going on there.

SquirrelFan · 13/11/2021 20:23

Definitely not fat, as a matter of fact, I'm not even bi and I think you're hot...

whistleryukon · 13/11/2021 20:27

I am really surprised that you are a 12/14 as I would have thought that you were a 10 easily?

MrsBobDylan · 13/11/2021 20:28

Your figure is so good, you deserve better than a 'you look fine babe' from your partner.

Do you think he's part of the problem? You could loose a big chunk of weight if he doesn't get his act together and start to worship at your feet Grin

bleedinora · 13/11/2021 20:30

You look amazing! I'm so jealous- I'll never look like you after my csections. You seriously have nothing to worry about.

whistleryukon · 13/11/2021 20:31

@LittleDandelionClock

LittleDandelionClock

You look fine, and well done on the weight loss.

Have to say though that your waist looks photo-shopped in that photo you have posted.

@Lizzyketo

It most certainly isn't! My waist is 28 inches, i think if i was so savvy to be photoshopping i would hardly feel the need to post here with the issues i am having.

But why would you not still have the issues? Confused You photoshopping your pics would not change your real body. Are you saying if you were 'savvy' enough to change how you look on photos, (and could make your waist thinner on photos,) that you wouldn't have issues around how you look in real life??? How odd.

Stop being weird! Talk about causing an argument out of thin air.

OP, you should take it as a compliment that someone thinks your proportions are so amazing that they can't possibly be real 😂

Tittyfilarious81 · 13/11/2021 20:34

You look lovely op ,you have a lovely shape

Mooloolabababy · 13/11/2021 20:37

You have a lovely figure op, very envious!

Dobbyismyabsolutefav · 13/11/2021 20:37

You look fantastic. Can you maybe refocus on getting stronger and looking after your core rather than losing more weight?

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 13/11/2021 20:39

@Lizzyketo

Thanks, really thinking maybe i need to talk to a professional, i never had a issue with confidence or an issue when i was heavier and now i have lost it i am obsessing, the mind is a strange place
This was my first thought based on your photo and what you said, "all I see is fat", that you need some support with your disordered thinking. You're not fat, your BMI is healthy, you look great. Your thinking however is very unhealthy and you need support to get on top of that so it doesn't lead to disordered eating.
LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 13/11/2021 20:45

Ignore the poster whose going on about Photoshop OP, don't give them headspace. Focus on posters whose advice is actually helpful to you and talks about what you need going forward.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 13/11/2021 20:50

Bollocks is that photoshop.
Well done op you look great. I'd love to be like that, I'd get a wrap around dress that showed off my waist if that was me.
I'm so jealous Grinand tipsy

SparklyLeprechaun · 13/11/2021 20:50

You've got a great shape and I find it hard to believe you're a size 14 bottom. Seek some help for your body image issues because it is all in your mind. You look great.

ronfa · 13/11/2021 21:08

Your waist is amazing! Well done for loosing 65lbs!!!

Lizzyketo · 13/11/2021 21:20

Your Completely right! See i have total issues with my body! Sorry Halloween Confused

Skip the GP and refer yourself straight to your local IAPT service. It's where your GP will refer you anyway for some CBT

1idea · 13/11/2021 21:32

You look amazing! Have you thought about doing done strength training? It’s helped me focus on the physical capabilities of my body rather than the scales. It feels like a more positive focus and has increased my confidence in what my body looks like and what I can achieve.

Lizzyketo · 13/11/2021 21:50

Really appreciate to you all, there are a few things thats i have really taken on board, the body dysmorphia comment was one, sometimes i think i am being petty and self absorbed and am afraid to seek the help, but i don't want to be in this frame of mind in another 5 years, instead of enjoying food and my success. The strength training is also a good idea, it may just make me see other positive changes! Thanks all for the perspective Bear

You have a gorgeous figure, honestly you are not fat in the slightest xx

YellowMonday · 13/11/2021 22:01

You look fantastic, well done you! As someone in the middle of their own weigh loss journey, I know how bloody hard it is and how hard it can be to see the changes others see. Down 30 kilos and I don't see it to be honest, but others do.

I agree on strength training - you may put on mass (muscle) but you will overall lose cms. I lift heavy 3 times a week as part of my exercise program, and I can see the difference in muscle definition even weeks when the scales don't go down or only go down a little.

My therapist also recommended to me getting back in touch with your body, think coffee bean scrubs, body brushing, good quality moisturiser.

Phoenix76 · 14/11/2021 00:15

Fuck me, if I could post a pic of me looking like that I’d be well chuffed! I think you’re on the right track with your thinking, your body is more than fine but your mind needs some tlc so a chat with a professional sounds to me the way forward (please make sure they’re a proper professional as there are a lot of cretins around parading as qualified).
Funnily enough I posted on another thread only tonight and mentioned body dysmorphia there, it is real, please try and enjoy that beautiful body of yours.

DariaMorgendorffer · 14/11/2021 00:17

Wow! That waist and those curves! My god op I'd be thrilled to look like that. You look incredible.

Grapewrath · 14/11/2021 00:21

You have an amazing hourglass figure 👌

TaraR2020 · 14/11/2021 00:30

I wish I had your figure! What a waist! Girl, you are gorgeous!
