i went to my local currys yesterday to buy a digital photo frame for my mil christmas prezzie. i asked an assistant for help. i know that i am useless when it comes to electronics but the little shit did not have to answer every question i had in code. he made me feel like a right knob ( bought one from comet instead) i was only asking if it would be compatable with any camera.

the tw*ts you get workign in places like currys, comet etc literally force me to return to John Lewis, my spiritual home

cherryredretrochick · 13/12/2007 14:20

makes the uneducated feel superior to us. We know the truth really just be happy with that knowledge.

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 13/12/2007 14:21

Oh I think you have to be a geeky little shit to work there. I always feel the same!

ScottishMummy · 13/12/2007 14:29

i think it is to want to mandatory to lamp cheeky sales assts. but im to scared just skulk instead

Bouncingturtle · 13/12/2007 14:41

You should thank him because his appaulingly bad sales technique meant you avoided buying a piece of crap from Currys and got something decent from Comet instead.
Currys are shit IMO

Everybody to want to punch the spotty, geeky little twats in Currys. It's the human condition.

Comet's rubbish as well - they have "electricians" who can't plug in an oven. Do thorough research on internet then throw as much jargon as you can remember at them when you go. Bet they don't know what they are talking about either.

essanel · 14/12/2007 21:21

i used to work in currys for about 2 yrs after i finished uni - they used to have modules to complete for each category eg washing machines, pcs etc so you could answer the basic questions - i think i was the only person in our store who had completed them but i had just finished uni so was used to studying. I wasn't a geeky twat just wanted to make sure i knew what i was selling! i did have to leave cos it was full of cocky geeky shi@*! who would blatently lie to people just to bag a sale .... i on the other hand had lowish sales but happy customers (one of whom who gave me a pressie when i was leaving!) >
