mine arent bothered about their calendars, so now I have three choccies to eat, including my own. Yes, eat the chocolate.

fizzbuzz · 12/12/2007 21:43

I've already eaten one of ds's Xmas pressies

So scoff away

Reallytired · 12/12/2007 21:45

Why not save the chocolate for a good day and reward her for being good.

I think you are mean eating chocolate meant for your kids. Honestly who is being the child?

soopermum1 · 12/12/2007 21:49

i'm with rteallytired on this

keep an eemrgency pack of maltesers for whenever you feel the urge

I hate chocolate advent calendars, why can't it just be fun to get a picture behind the door anymore?

DD1 got one instead of a Christmas card from a school friend, we decided to just empty all the chockies out into her treat box, and we are just using our little wooden one instead.

This has meant that I can eat some of them without being caught out.

snowfunwhenyoureknackered · 13/12/2007 08:01

I couldn't eat the chocolate so early in the morning, but if it was cake....................!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 08:03

are you sure you want to? Ours are absolutely vile - thomas ones produced by some new factory.
And we are having xmas day 3 days early so I have to make 12 chocolates (4 children) disapear somehow.

Hennipenniinapeartree · 13/12/2007 15:12

Reallytired, it was a measly little chocolate coin. Disagree with saving it for when she's good as that really isn't punishment enough as she thinks (and says) it's ok I'll have tomorrow anyway.

Currantbunnmum, it's a cloth calender that my mum made for DDs when they were a lot younger so we don't have the picture ones anymore.

Besides which DH ate it anyway as she really was a evil little madam!

ds isn't old enough yet to understand but next year he will have the wooden advent calendar i had as a child. it is a tree with the numbered drawers at the bottom which have mini decorations in to decorate the tree.

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 13/12/2007 15:39

am now wishing he had a chocolate one so i could steal. i always think advent chocolate tastes yummy!

ChristmasSendsMePsycho · 13/12/2007 15:45

addictedto happyxmas........I got that advent calender. well, I say I, but the kiddies now take it in turn each day so I don't get a look in.

that said.....in answer to the OP.....

I personally would eat the chocolate if that had been the intended punishment for continueing bad behaviour, but as I am allergic then I can't. and I would not care if it was mass made chocolate....when you can't have it you NEED it more!!!!

moot point now anyway it seems if DH ate it anyway!!!!

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 13/12/2007 15:46

i've seen a magnetic nativity scene one in lakeland i quite like so maybe i'll get ds that one and keep the tree one for myself
