Greggs as good as / better than Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme are held up as the gold standard of doughnuts and don’t get me wrong, they’re nice. But they’re deeply overrated and overpriced and Greggs filled doughnuts are just as nice. AIBU?

How does Bob Marely like his donuts?

CtrlU · 07/11/2021 11:28

Greggs doughnut’s are not better than Krispy Kreme by far

Greggs win hands down for pastries though

Accept my apologies for a spelling mistake, I can only strive to be as perfect as you, you're an inspiration

In the east of Scotland the Fisher and Donaldson fudge doughnuts are amazing, they even do them as birthday cakes.

Tell auto correct then. Not me Hmm

Squeezita · 07/11/2021 11:55

🤣 Yeah, right @CtrlU

If you’re going to be a spelling and grammar pedant, make sure you don’t make mistakes yourself.

I notice you didn’t give @junglejane66 the benefit of the doubt on Bob Marley.

If you can’t take, don’t dish it out.

Squeezita · 07/11/2021 11:57

Oops, I missed ‘it’.

Proof under the sun that we all make typos. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can take it. I pointed out a spelling mistake to another user. I don’t remember including you in any of my post’s so please refrain from commenting to me and place yourself into a conversation with someone who actually cares about your imput. Fools.

Typical mumsnet. The only place where people comment for clout instead of actually answering the original thread in question.

Ah the old auto correct excuse, a classic, and there was I thinking you were perfect, I guess we are all infallible.

You probably feel a bit silly now as well

GrandmasCat · 07/11/2021 12:03

I think Krispykreme are better but not after hours drying up in a cabinet at the shop or the supermarket.

I used to visit a krispyKreme shop abroad that they always have them fresh, everytime I have had one in this country I have felt tricked, ripped off and utterly disappointed! Grin

Squeezita · 07/11/2021 12:04

Whatever, if you could take it you wouldn’t have made a face at your own spelling error being corrected 🤣

And no, you don’t get to tell me not to post, that’s not how a forum works.

And you correcting @junglejane66 was hardly answering the original question in the thread was it?

As I’m blocked, I won’t expect a response. 😂

Yep, so is correcting spelling on a forum.

Ciao Grin

knittingaddict · 07/11/2021 12:08

I assumed Marely was a typo, so it's a bit much to point it out.

Telling people they are blocked? That's a thing? Can you even block people?

TuftyMarmoset · 07/11/2021 12:09

KK used to do really nice crullers but they stopped doing them in the U.K. for some reason.

Doughnut Time are good but I wish their doughnuts were smaller! You just know they have your entire daily calories in one.

AuntyFungal · 07/11/2021 12:11

Sainsbury’s jam.

^^

BeaucoupFish · 07/11/2021 12:13

@Hockeyboysmum
I agree with that - the dusted ones, they’re so light

LuckyAmy1986 · 07/11/2021 12:37

The best doughnut I have ever had is the David Hasselhoff from Doughnut Time!!

BrisbaneandGone · 07/11/2021 13:00

KK are nasty and ridiculously overly sweet, they all taste the same too. Give me a bog standard hot sugared donut from a fairground any day instead of a KK. Never tried Greggs but I imagine they can't be worse
