I bought and wrapped all my pressies in November.
I turn on the tv and see the argos ad so out of curiousity I check what I have bought(the big things) to see if they are reduced.
EVERY SINGLE BLOODY ONE is reduced.
I have unwrapped and sent my dh to argos with the TWO big things I have bought for a refund, I am so pissed off.
I will buy them all again and get back over £100 off two pissing items!!!!
If I took everything back I would be £160 up but I aibu to shake every effing box trying to find where x,y and z is?
GRRRRR
On the upshot,60% off is fab

claricebeansmumhasnomincepies · 12/12/2007 16:45

That is really very annoying.

Shows how slow the Hight Street is this year

for you

SelfishMrsClaus · 12/12/2007 16:45

Are you sure that they will have hem in stock when you go to buy back?

That's the thing I would be afraid of...

sparklygothkat · 12/12/2007 16:47

there will be stock, they ewill have the ones her dh has taken back lol

QueenBhannae · 12/12/2007 16:49

They will not sell dh the one that is brought back as not on the system or some other balls but cunningly I have reserved them at our other store

That'll teach you for being so organised

SelfishMrsClaus · 12/12/2007 16:53

Yeah but SGK, he can't go in, leave them back & then ask to buy them again..can he? Will they be on their computer?

claricebeansmumhasnomincepies · 12/12/2007 16:56

You can just see it...

DH returns them, mooches around the store, then asks for them again....
"Computer says no"
"But I just gave them back"
"Computer says no"
"But there they are on the shelf behind you"
"Computer says no"

And do you really want to go back shopping now???

QueenBhannae · 12/12/2007 16:59

You have spent a bit more but you have missed all the christmas hassle

Sherbert37 · 12/12/2007 17:02

The WHOLE POINT about being organised is that you can swan around looking smug when everyone else is frantically searching for that must-have toy. Surely that must be worth a few bob? (But maybe not £160??)

beeper · 12/12/2007 19:37

Thats what happens when you fall for 'corporate rip off christmas'.

When the news channels all started burbling about the subprime crisis you should have known to hold off! Economic uncertainty = low consumer spending = retailers shitting bricks and SLASHING prices so they don't have to tell their shareholders that Christmas sales were down 30% on last year!
