to think someone could have told me during the course of this morning that I was wearing my jumper inside-out and the wrong way round?

I took ds to nursery, dropped dd1 off with a friend, and then took dd2 for a hearing test / hearing aid review where I sat in a room with 4 audiologists for 30 minutes discussing her ears. After that dd2 and I went to a cafe.

Took her to the toilets afterwards, looked in the mirror and there was a large washing & brand label right under my chin .

FFS . You'd think someone could have told me at some point.

They probably all thought you were a radical trend setter!

purpleturtle · 12/12/2007 16:13

Oh Geekgirl! I'd have told you.

I tucked down an old lady's collar in church the other day - didn't so much ask permission, as inform her of what I was doing as I did it, too.

GeekgirlRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 12/12/2007 16:14

the label says 'JOY' in huge letters

FFS

at least it didn't have a size tag on too

purpleturtle · 12/12/2007 16:16

Thank you for your use of the word 'care' where others might use 'interfere'.

GLAMpresentsforMAMAplease · 12/12/2007 16:16

You think that's bad??? I took my daughter to school, walked around the school, walked to the bus stop, got off the bus, walked to work and was 10 feet from the building when some people sniggeringly informed me I had my skirt tucked into my tights. And the tights had lots of holes in too.

PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 12/12/2007 16:17

Perhaps they just thought your name was Joy...

MellowChristmasEveryone · 12/12/2007 16:17

Why do people do this?

I would have told you!

I have done this, it's horrid when you realise

I have also had mascara marks where I have put too muc on and blinked, no-one told me.

I have had coal on my face, pre-gas fire, no-one told me.

I walk around with bob the builder stickers on my ass, noone tells me.

I ate an entire meal sat outside a restaurant in a busy shopping mall with a blood-shot eyeball sticker in the middle of my forehead! My DP also sat opposite me throughout the meal and did NOT MENTION IT!

minouminou · 12/12/2007 16:20

my dozy sister once put on her school uniform, went to school 9a fairly long walk), and got through part of a lesson before someone pointed out that she still had her (ankle length) nightie on underneath.

GLAMpresentsforMAMAplease · 12/12/2007 16:21

LOL, I hope you got your own back on your DP, Mark.

MarktheheraldangelsStretch · 12/12/2007 16:22

He still laughs about it now

lacarte · 12/12/2007 16:23

no one told me i had a breastfeeding pad thing hanging over the top of my dress the other day. but then i think i'm quite glad they didn't.

Marina · 12/12/2007 16:26

Based on my own observations of an uninhibited and lively employer many years ago, perhaps people assumed you had dressed hastily as you were returning from a romantic tryst... (and she was a mum of two small kids and didn't let that impede her in any way...she was French though!)
