John Lewis - Newcastle

AIBU to find John Lewis's dumping of a pile of old tat and rubbish in Newcastle's main shopping street (supposedly a crashed UFO- link to the Christmas ad) ill-judged and offensive. It has a notice on it- see photo and the council gave it the green light. It looks awful. What has happened to John Lewis?

Haven’t seen it as not in the area at the moment, wouldn’t associate anything on Northumberland with JL. Just looks like something id walk into or have they had to erect a barrier for safety of visually impaired people?

I think it looks great! Children will enjoy it. I really can’t see the harm and think it’s a nice thing to do. It’s not my favourite ad ever but it’s still good.
