Grew up in Wales. Classic school song but actually it was a big thing in male Voice choirs where they'd sing it in pubs to a call and response from other punters. So back in the day, not a flop. Now? Probable flop!

I’m in Scotland and see this song still sung but only with children, not adults. I work in a school myself.

Grew up in England and have never heard this.

My main memories of it was the children's disco in holiday resorts in places like the Canaries and Balerics growing up.

Complete with the Highland dancing, football cheering and plane imitations.

I'm mid 30s, I knew it from pontins/haven holidays as a kid. They still play it now in those holiday camps so my kids know it too.
