AIBU to think that Boris was inspirational in his speech earlier, setting out the problem that we face and bravely suggesting solutions.

Awww you've got to love the dust spaffer!

Gilead · 01/11/2021 22:39

If James Callaghan had invested properly in the countries waste water system then we wouldn't be in this mess.
Tosh. It’s been nigh on fifty years since Callaghan was PM. Plenty of time and governments to fix anything. Why didn’t Thatcher check it all before she sold it off in 1989?

DarkDarkNight · 01/11/2021 22:44

YABU. He’s jumping on the bandwagon, he doesn’t care.

This is a wind up 😂

I don’t like Boris but I suspect there’s a vast amount of hypocrisy on this thread.

How many of you voted for him?
How many of you are meat eaters?
How many of you fly on holiday?
How many of you buy unnecessary tat?

I suspect most

@jgw1

But you’re the OP.
I meant those replying to you.

Yusanaim · 02/11/2021 08:12

Some PMs want to be remembered in history - T Blair would be one.

But the ones we remember are the ones like Boris and Mrs T. I'm not discussing what they achieved - just that they stick in the mind. I'm in my 60s so quite a few have come and gone.

This is a wind up 😂
Yes it is

But jgw is quite clever at them…I usually start with ‘what the fuck 😳’ and then realise who it is

  1. nope (to be fair you can only vote for him in his constituency so thats not many people comparatively

2)nope

  1. usually

  2. not sure what you mean by tat but i try to buy things that will last

Firstbornunicorn · 02/11/2021 10:08

@jgw1 he’ll be grand. He has a lot of kids, so clearly someone is willing to shag him.

Don't you think that it must be exhausting carrying on his strange act?

WHY on earth didn't he go for the snip I wonder

Skysblue · 02/11/2021 14:28

Yabu, BJ spends more time thinking up journalist-style headlines and slogans than he does thinking about actual policy.

Inspirational slogans are just what we need. There are plenty of others who can put them into action.
