Person A puts things in the sink, as dishwasher is on, at some point water from various sources (cooking, tumble drier, rinsing a bowl out) was put into sink and a mug was filled at some point with water from some source.

Person B needs to take paracetamol,and decides to drink the water in the mug in the sink.

Person B starts gagging and making wretching noises and asks Person A what is in the mug, and implies that Person A shouldn't have left that water in the mug.

Person A thinks that Person B shouldn't have drunk random sink water,and should have used the glasses and fresh tap water right next to the sink.

So, was Person A wrong to leave the random water in the mug. Or was Person B wrong to drink the random water and then blame person A for being "poisoned".

He'd end up poisoned at Wingedharpy towers OP - we have mugs soaking in all sorts of chemical concoctions here.

Still, it took his mind of his ailment that required Paracetamol for a bit.

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing

I was going to ask if person B was a child! I can see they are so mitigates slightly, but yes I wouldn’t expect my younger dc to be that daft.

His reaction is over the top too!

Oh cmon he’s 17. Technically a child but doesn’t mitigate anything,

@OwlinaTree

Only a fool would drink from a mug of water left in the sink!!Envy
Exactly

Your update that Person B is a 17-year-old boy makes it all become clear – the madness, the fury.

CustardySergeant · 30/10/2021 14:02

@Regularsizedrudy

Do you mean sauces?
Of course she doesn't. She even listed the three sources of water in the sink. Why would you think sauces had anything to do with it?
ImUninsultable · 30/10/2021 14:07

@CustardySergeant

I thought she had posted on the wrong thread! I couldn't figure out why Regularsizedrudy would think sauces had anything to do with this. But now I see!
Did you actually think sources meant sauces? @Regularsizedrudy? She said water sources. Because she emptied different things containing water into the sink.

Lairymary · 30/10/2021 14:37

Person B is a moron Halloween Shock

00100001 · 30/10/2021 14:50

@ImUninsultable

Oh, cross posted. It's your son.

I think I'd be very embarrassed if my son acted like that. What an idiot.

Please show him the thread if he gives you any looks as if he still blames you!

Lol. It's ok, he was just having a brain fart I think and then the embarrassment perhaps caused him to find anyone else to blame.

It's ok, he not normally this dim witted or dramatic Grin

@1forAll74

Everyone is lazy.Person A , for not being able to wash a few pots, just because a dishwasher is on, and person B, for not being able to wash a few things up either, and drinks from a used cup or glass. I have actually known a few cases, when people have left a couple of teaspoons on the side, when a dishwasher is on, to put in the dishwasher , the next time it is used.. madness madness.

i don't have a dishwasher !

Pfffft, I'm not running the hot water, fishing out the washing up liquid and a cloth, to wash up 2 mugs and a teaspoon! Completely reasonable to pop them in sink and wait until the dishwasher was done.

Is person b actually a dog or a cat, because that is the only way I can imagine sink water being consumed?

B. WTF?

bigbluebus · 30/10/2021 15:23

I hope your DS isn't planning on heading off to Uni and time soon. He's going to be on a very steep learning curve if he is!!

jamandmarmalade · 30/10/2021 15:29

Person B should have opened the dishwasher door and taken a big swig out of one the spray arms.

SeaHollyDaiz · 30/10/2021 15:47

B is clearly wrong. Who doesn't at least RINSE a sink mug out before drinking from it Envy(not envy)

HazelandChacha · 30/10/2021 15:51

Yeah, Person B is DS17

Well, he hasn’t got the common sense he was born with, as DGM would say. 😂

BashfulClam · 30/10/2021 15:59

I read this to DH and he says ‘what the fuck is wrong with person B?’sums up my thoughts till. Also where else do you put dirty dishes while the dishwasher is in use other than the sink?

maddiemookins16mum · 30/10/2021 16:12

B for bonkers.

TheCrowFromBelow · 30/10/2021 16:51

I knew person B would be a teenager Grin
They are so wonderfully wrapped up in the centre of their own little worlds.

Gingernaut · 30/10/2021 16:57

Person B.

At worst, I have taken a dirty mug out of the sink, thoroughly rinsed it and thrn filled and drunk from it.

PhilCornwall1 · 30/10/2021 17:11

Yeah, Person B is DS17.

Ah, this explains everything.

to be honest , your Ds, what made him assume it was safe to drink ? usually when i put cups in the sink i have bleech in them at times to steralise them, i think you made need a coosh poster putting up op, that explains the various potential hazards.
VeganCheesePlease · 30/10/2021 17:21

Person B is a hallion for drinking sink water!!

LittleDandelionClock · 30/10/2021 17:23

What am I meant to press if I think person B is wrong? YABU or YANBU?

Obviously person B is wrong, for being daft enough to drink the water. They didn't know what was in it, or where it had come from!
