My mum and step dad decided that for this year only, Myslef, DH DB SIL and the idiot were not getting rpesents (long story), only the three grandchildren.
Ok we said, she also said that they (being her, step dad and idiot) didn't wnat presents from us or DB and SIL either.
We sent presents up the road by courier for DB,SIL, Neice, and the ILs plus my god-daughter and my friends children. the box was sent to my mums house, ILs are going to collect from there. Anyway, each lot of parcels was in a carrier bag with a label. SO PIL, Step MIL and SIL was in one bag, MIL anbd Step PIL in another etc. My mother opened the box, and must have taken every present out of their bags. She rang me and said that there was a parcel addressed "To Mum", and had she not said she didn't want any presents, and if I had insisted on buying presents why was there none for step Dad and Idiot brother. She went on and on, not letting me get a word in. Eventually I said the present addressed to Mum is for MIL. She then started going on about why was it addressed Mum? I said because she is DH's mum.
She then started asking "who is X", why have you got her a present. Well X is the name of my God daughter, which happens to be the name of my step sister, whom none of us has anything to do with.
I am so bloody annoyed that she opened all the bags, there was no need, and for her to call em upa nd start ranting in such a way
